Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. If you are having problems logging in, please try a different browser or platform, if problems persist then email support@rlfans.com

| Here is a honest question, if say RFL decides from next season to revoke your membership to SL. What happens to the players and staff do their contracts come null and void like it did with us at Kr. I like Wakefield only for sentimental reasons, my dad who died 2013 was born there and after being a miner went on to help build bell vue, he always supported both wakey and Kr.. I have a feeling due to SL wanting 13 teams to include us, but don't want to lose money does anyone think you lot could become victims And lose your SL status being replaced by us just a thought

Quote ="Egg Banjo"I'm not sure how you can consider the Hepworth an unqualified success, it cost the council over £18m to build and currently costs the council £1.25m/annum to operate. The gallery attracted 210,000 visitors in 2016 and all of them got in for free. That means that each visitor cost the Wakefield tax payer around £6 for them to visit. The most successful thing it has managed to achieve is winning a £100,000 prize, this hardly touches the sides of the running costs. />
I'm sure if the council were to build a stadium for £18m and then give the club £1.25m per year in place of entry fees, we'd see figures surpass the attendance fiigures for the gallery'"
Put our stadium issues as peanuts then

Quote ="JINJER"Sandal cat, do you really think the council are gonna borrow £12M based on the fact that the club are gonna pay the interest and more importantly the council will chase the developers of Newmarket (Yorkcourt) and the developers of BV (88M) for the full cost, I'm sorry here but that really isn't feasible, in fact it's plain embarrassing to expect it. Please feel free to fill me in on why they should/could because I just don't see it.'" />
I agree completely - although it gives me no pleasure.

To answer your question then NO.
/>
Maybe because they know that Yorkcourt have no intention of building/funding a stadium and equally the Council have no intention of making them comply with the planning consent (i.e. Newcold) so they already know the consequences of borrowing the money.
/>
If they had any intention of seeing a stadium built and felt that Yorkcourt would fulfill the promise they made at the PI then Michael's offer is a good one.
