Again, I laugh because time and time again these sort of dismissive post end up looking very foolish, but people never learn.

You need to see a young player play for at least half a season before any real judgement can be made as there is no real form to go on.

As for the Hardaker thing, seriously is that the best you have - that can happen to any player big deal. Wallshaw is a giant and a naturally gifted athlete but he has under performed in the last few seasons and it's about time he moved up where as Hardaker has done somewhat better.

That's what coaches have to do try and see what's ahead in a player,agree it doesn't always work but the good coaches get it right more often than not as for smith hopefully he'll develop OK but with respect vasty has much as you try to say hes where amor was when he joined us.first time your underrating one and overrating another .

You're probably right about judging someone too early but I'm not being dismissive of Smith who looked ok in the 60 mins I saw him play .....as you have done unless you were in Aus or watching Leeds Academy a couple of years ago



I hope Smith is going to be as good as you believe. I'm no expert and I just want the team to do well as we all do.

My comment about the Hardaker tackle was just a one off comment about the strength and aggression shown in the tackle by Walshaw which is great to see, no disrespect to Hardaker. Walshaw also took some tackling. I agree with early comments that Walshaw has the attributes to be an outstanding player but just needs to kick on this year whether fitness/attitude have been the barriers previously.

Some of the comments on the ability of players and who is right or wrong is maybe why we have not hit 2000 season tickets so far.
We are a team knitting together, it's going to take time for players to settle in.

Last year the resources that the coach had at his disposal were not utilised to the max, this season with a tighter budget, the players signed and the ones still at the club hopefully will be used better.
Where we are now to 3 months ago is superb for me.
Even better as i bought my ticket early for £150!
Quite a few people have asked me how much season tickets are now as they are considering buying one but now they are £205, maybe not too keen.
As has been mentioned, hindsight is a wonderful thing but sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate.

I love being and expert analyst...sorry Mark, Lucas, Kyle and Chris... My opinion is irrelevant.. But, As an old graybeard with a bit of life experience... You all have talent, and some really good attributes, but...

I would say to you, work at your trade as if nothing else matters, improve the things you do well to do them even better, and work hard to become excellent at the things you currently do badly... Role model the great players (Wildie should have a collection of video clips of players like Peter Sterling, Steve Nash, Peter Mortimer, Cliff Lyons, david Topliss etc...) and don't be afraid, of anything.

One day greatness is attainable... Talent is only the beginning.
