If it was possible to stage the game at Hemel we would but believe me there is a fantastic buzz about the game! I am certainly looking forward to the trip and it will be an honour to be at Belle Vue

That's the spirit, I'm sure you'll be made very welcome. Not sure why it's deemed impossible to stage it at Hemel, just because we're currently a SL side doesn't mean we expect special treatment and we'd be more than happy at Hemel. In fact I'm gutted we're not coming.

I don't think Belle Vue will do you any favours at all, it's a massive playing surface and that will only give us another advantage.

We simply do not come up to RFL minimum standards for games involving SL clubs. I know we will be warmly welcomed at Belle Vue (although I was a Dons lad I used to watch Wakey as well)
BTW we play at our best on big flat pitches

I'd be interested to understand why the RFL think a SL side needs a higher standard of facility? Sport is 17 men against 17 men, and if Hemel have been accepted into the competition and indeed the professional ranks, then that's enough as far as I'm concerned.

I'm really disappointed at this. Hope it's a good day for Hemel, and that the revenue is used wisely.
