Bradford's directors have asked each of their 10,000 fans to pledge £100, which would enable them to reach their target, but say they would be willing to discuss handing over control of the club to a prospective buyer.
And, after holding tentative talks in the past, Duckett believes yesterday's dramatic announcement may prompt some action.
"There's always been interest," he said. "We've said for a number of years now that we're willing to speak to people and actually what might happen now is this publicity might bring things to a head."[/i
I can't believe that no one would come forward, post administration, to buy the club. It'd be an interesting proposition for Mrs. Hetherington, perhaps?
The current board are clearly hoping to salvage something from their personal investment, but it shouldn't be at the expense of the fans, cheap season tickets or no cheap season tickets. |

I'll say tosh. Took a while for some, but if you take a club into administration once, chances are you probably will do again unless you are megarich or have the access to the cash. No-one buys a club with huge debts before they go into administration, and you can tell that by the amount of rubbish in the press that Portsmouth and Rangers won't make it until the end of their seasons. Still seem to be trading.
Even Darlington get idiots throwing money at unsustainable businesses!
The only clubs that go and never come back are the tiny non-league ones. The historic ones, regardless of sport, always stay alive somehow. | | |

i will also add something that the bulls fans won't listen to.....
it is quite feasible that if this money is raised, the board of directors could immediately call in their directors loans, starving the club of cash again and ensuring that they cut their losses. this happened to the company i used to work for so i speak from experience.
if you are going to donate do it to bullbuilder, assuming they are taking steps to ensure that the money they donate is not going down the pan....
