Wigan are replacing the 3 incoming players for Feka who is on a massive wage by all accounts, Bailey also rumoured to be a £100k plus, Phelps and Riddell.

Other players off contract are Stuart Fielden another massive earner and Andy Coley.

What is happening at Wigan at the moment is the final stages of transition from the old management to the new management with all the old contracts running to an end at the end of this season.

With the new wae structures in place we should comfortably be able to fit these 3 in place and hopefully re sign Fielden and Coley on reduced terms.

The problem at your place is your top earners are your poorest players.

Fielden, FFS what an overated bag of wind, and every man on Earth as made excuses for him, not good enough, and been that way for years.
Feka, ok when he looked like he had swollowed a pig, but only lasted 10 mins, and poor in defence, once slimmed down became average going forward.,

But you need experienced heads to bring them through this is what Bailey was retained for and has helped with massively.

Fielden is worth a new contract but on reduced terms he has been excellent along with Coley for much of this season.

Feka is clearly not our new coaches style and his money has not been earned this year.

he has been off the boil for a while now as have the Storm team as a whole. It seems the initial backs to the walls mentality they got in the wake of the bans has worn off and they are somewhat a disillusioned bunch now the full realisation that most of them will not be at the Storm next year has kicked in.
