With our half back situation now at critical level through injury and a probable suspension to Lino maybe it?s time for some drastic action. If Powell isn?t going to play Lachlan Walmsley then let?s do a deal with him to deregister and pay him off to free up a quota space. Yes I know it?ll still count on the cap!


If we can do that then maybe Jackson Hastings could be the answer, he?s available, knows the English game and would clearly be an upgrade on what we have. Get it done early, get him on a plane and have him here for Sunday Vs Cas

Hopefully Lino won't pick up a ban, but it sounds like Trueman could be back (hopefully), so I'd be happy with him and Max in the half-backs.
Maybe Matty Russell and Nikotemo could be back too ??, in which case I would put Scott back at centre in place of Hall and move Vagana to prop

I would hope after yesterday?s game we won?t see Max at 6 again for a while. It didn?t work. Defensively he was targeted by Catalans and we got zero ball to the edges where Catalans are most vulnerable. He didn?t even share the kicking duties hardly. You may as well stick Rourke there as a running threat. 

I personally think we have messed up the spine ourselves. Chopping and changing week in week out has led to a lot of the dysfunction we now see. 


It may not be popular opinion but chopping 13,6 and 1 week in week out unnecessarily has led to us being largely dysfunctional. 


I know I can be a touch harsh at times but it needs sorting and what you could get away with in championship you can?t in SL. 


I get some changes have been forced but some haven?t.

I agree though that Max needs a bit more time practising.
He'll have to play at Magic though as Lino is likely to be banned.

If I was picking someone up from NRL I'd keep an eye on Dodd.

I have but that?s only because right from the start we should have been putting the spine in their normal positions and bringing a next man up for 6 even if that is a young lad/reserve half or loan. 

I?ve been consistent in that. 


Swapping Pitts to 6 and back to 3, Max return at fb and Rourke out and next week to 6. It?s unnecessary. 


If Cust only got a few points for a straight shoulder to head I can?t see Lino getting more so we may be okay.

If it?s the chest then you see loads of those in a game. If it?s hit high then he?ll get what he deserves I would imagine.

If the clubs happy to have a season of consolidation and then make some changes to the squad then we?re going well
However, if we have ambitions of reaching the playoffs offs then we?re going to fall short unless we solve the half back problem either by working some sort of miracle on Russell & Lawford or we bite the bullet and bring someone in.


If we were to bring someone in then we might as well go for quality rather than a stop gap

We are less than 25percent through a five year project? I don?t know what people expect!?!? Almost half the team on the injured list?some really promising performances from some developmental players, yet some want instant satisfaction by throwing away the plan and importing short term solutions? that?s what we used to do? and it didn?t work?  trust the process and watch the club evolve? we won?t win every game? (was that really your expectation?)
