It shows how important the win was when you look at the League table. If we had lost we would have been 4th instead of 1st ( yes top, with the Lancys both losing  icon_smile.gif" alt="icon_smile.gif" title="Smile" /> ) and Barrow 8th instead of 2nd. Come on Cougars |

Lancashire had one win today (Swinton) and three defeats (Oldham, Rochdale and Barrow). Because Barrow is a Lancashire team.

Anyroad, a cracking couple of points to take this afternoon, although how nervy did it get at the end! I was convinced we were having some sort of RL equivalent of 'Fergie Time' and we were just going to play on until Barrow scored the winning points. The game didn't finish until 4:50pm! And it certainly didn't help that the ref didn't like our lads going anywhere near the Raiders - I'm not sure I've ever seen so many penalties given; anyone know the final tally? Despite the second half not matching the first, there was a hell of a lot of effort and commitment shown out there today by the Cougars and as fans we can't ask for much more than that. Ash Lindsay was immense. Good following of fans today gave the lads great support and I think you could see they appreciated it at the end.

Don't like moaning about Barrow as I always enjoy the trip up whatever
the result but Half the Barrow team should have been red carded , not seen a team play so
obviously dirty and get away with it for a long time.
Nearly every tackle was niggling and winding up our players , digs and punches ,
Going in with knees off the ball incidents ......just downright dirty .....their coach must be proud eh ?
Also lost count of the forward passes.
Must be the Leigh influence so many of them im the Barrow side
