Wouldn't read anything into that, Wednesday practice tends to be a day off for those players carrying even the slightest knocks. I don't think Jahvid Best in Detroit has practiced on Wednesday all season.



Surprised Indy have taken Tamme off their list, given he supposedly couldn't walk due to back spasms on Sunday. Still, good news for my fantasy team.

Would love to agree but can't. I can see why he says it, but the defense isn't playing as well as the numbers may suggest. They have improved and are now a good defence but not great. Whe teams have short fields the defence will not give up many yards! That helps stats. We have not had many takeawys this year and that's hurt us.



In Rivers you have the best QB of the year so far and he will always give you a chance. This is just confirmed with the injuries to receivers so far this year. However, look at the run game. Sub par again. It could be said that in most games we were chasing so abandoned the run. I would like to see us stay close to the Donks in the first half on Monday so we can see what the run game can really do. I also hope that Ryan Matthews gets over his bout of fumbltis.



On top of that, nothing has happened in the first half of the season to suggest that Special Teams is getting better. Dreadful play all year and Steve Crosby is the luckiest man in the NFL to still have a job.

Oh and add to the above that the coach is Norv Turner.

If the Raiders win this week, I don't see anyone else winning the AFC West.



And Brian St. Pierre is starting for the Panthers.

Well he's a studio guest so I don't think his commentary skills are going to be tested. I prefer him to Halling in the studio.

Not as lopsided as I first thought, but I reckon with the trade between the two better players (Fitzgerald / Rice for Johnson / Mendenhall), whoever ends up with Johnson and Mendenhall is getting the better end of the deal.

Josh Freeman is also better than Alex Smith. So quite even. That leaves you with Boss & Barber for Snelling & Branch which is neither here or there.

I don't think it would be as much of a problem. The main concern is probably receivers running routes to the back of the end zone and colliding with the wall.



I think it's pretty cool - definitely something unique. I went to Wrigley Field a couple of years ago for a baseball game, think it's one of the oldest grounds in baseball IIRC.

Looking at the pictures of where the pitch is marked out, wouldn't having it diagonal across the whole outfield have made enough run off space to play using the full length of the pitch and not just half? madness

Chaps I have a Madden decision to make. I'm GM of the Packers in an online franchise. Trade deadline is approaching and I'm debating on whether to cash in on Rodgers and Woodson. The deal on the table is Rodgers and Woodson for Harvin, Tracy Porter and Jason Campell. Now it's an obvious drop in standard from Rodgers to Campbell but I tend to run a west coast offense. Woodson is 35ish and dropped from 97 to 92 rated last season so he is on his way out. Harvin is rated 90 and Porter 86. Both should improve as they are still young. Would any of you guys pull the trigger on this trade?
