If his side had demolished Arsenal and kept the pressure up then speaking out again would be fair enough. However, when you've just managed to draw at home followed by United effectively securing the title then surely its time to keep it shut.



IMO Liverpool have blown the title this season, it was theirs to lose with the way United have played and they have done so. They lost so many silly points at home with draws, if they had taken those the race would probably be over with now. It is difficult not to think that Benitez should concentrate on next year and making sure the title goes to Anfield rather than proving how 'manly' he is by constantly talking rubbish about Ferguson, you can see through the media and press conferences that Sir Alex absolutely loves it.

Liverpool fans get very sensitive about anything to do with the club being associated with Hillsborough or The Sun, no matter how tenuous. They even persuaded Carslberg to drop a free drinks promotion it was doing because it was with The Sun.
