I can see us having to rely on the Bears to do us a favour in week 17. Lambeau is a very hard place to go and our confidence will be shot.

Alternatively we could play poorly coming out of an emotional loss where we played very well and you could be eager to prove yourselves after the biggest choke job of all time.



I think we deserve the edge (being at home + better performances lately) but i'm not confident at all.

It was quite refreshing to see people like Rolle and Eli take responsiblity for the loss and get behind Matt Dodge. No other QB in the league could have brought their team back against us apart from Vick(he carved us up with his running ability as we had them covered downfield) If we play like that on sunday then the Packers won't have a chance. But your secondary is alot better than the Eagirls and Eli won't be able to pick them aprt like he did sunday. I'd be concerned about Rodgers getting hit by the best pass rush in the NFL though. How has your line performed in recent weeks? The 49ers came back from 24 against us in 2003. It would be fun to end your season though. You an put put a big hole in our's but not quite end it.

I'm very concerned about Rodgers getting hit every week.The lines are so critical and our O-Line is up and down. 1 week we keep Rodgers up then next he is running for his life. I think we have conceeded 12 sacks or so in the last 3 games. I'd definately hope we go O-Line (presuming it makes sense at our spot) in the 1st round of the draft. While neither of his concussions have been a result of poor line play (Detroit he was rushing, Washington he was out of the pocket IIRC) the amount of hits he takes cannot help. I'm not looking forward to Osi and Tuck breaking through our line.



On the other side i'm quite confident that Raji, Matthews and co can get enough pressure on Elisha.

I think Singletary reckons that because he threw for 350+ yards last time that he'll put in a similar performance. I really hope we show Smith (Troy) for what he is this time - it was absolutely ridiculous what happened in SF the last time we played. He's average at best, with seemingly only an array of about 3 or 4 plays that he actually runs.

I actually think Troy Smith is a good QB. You dont win the Heisman without being a good player, and he is definately better than Alex Smith.



He was the starting Ravens QB until he got ill otherwise Flacco would have sat for longer. He is pretty short but that doesn't stop other QB's. He's decent at passing and he's got good scrambling ability.

Plenty of players have won the Heisman and gone onto do nothing in the NFL. If you're a decent enough athlete in college then you can get away with not being that good a football player.
