| I know a guy at Chester who wasn't playing today, coming to play uni ball for us next season though. Said he's gutted at the result.

| How boring are all these contract disputes. I understand players wanting to get paid but not turning up or pulling out of camps is pathetic.

Agreed. You signed the contract. You know how much your going to be paid each year. You should play it out and earn a bigger contract for when that one ends.
I can sort of understand, but still i disagree generally, with mid to late round draft picks who are usually on rookie contracts but go on to become excellent players.

| The market dictates what you're worth.
If you see someone else no better than you in the same position getting paid by another team, you're going to wonder why you're not making that sort of money.
The only recourse you've got is to withdraw your labour for a part of the season that really isn't all that important anyway (OTAs and minicamps), so why not?

It's difficult to disagree with what you say (although i think minicamps are important) but if you sign the contract then you should play it out. Your well aware of what your going to be paid each year, if you don't think it matches your performance/quality level then don't sign it to begin with. If you then earn it 99% of teams will reward you with a higher contract next time or you'll be able to find a deal you like in FA.
Players can't have it both ways. They want the security of long contracts with gazillions of dollars but that offers no protection to teams.
Some of the contract requests are ridiculous.
Chris Johnson, brilliant RB that he is, i've read wants to be the highest paid NFL player. Play the rest of your contract and prove you can do it year on year then you might get what you want. Even then he's deluded into thinking he is that important when he isn't. He was in the team when they went 0-6 then VY came and they came good and his YPA went up.
Darrell Revis wants Nnamdi money. He doesn't deserve it. Firstly the Nnamdi contract is ridiculous as it is and secondly he has been the best cover corner in the NFL for only one season (Woodson is the best overall player at CB and Nnamdi is still up there because nobody throws to him), he needs to prove it for at least another year because other than the year just gone he's been merely above average. Until that point i wouldn't consider giving him Nnamdi money and the Jets agree. I believe they have offered him a contract with no guaranteed money, which if he is as good as he thinks he is wouldn't pose a problem for him to meet all the incentives.
The same goes for Packers players but thankfully we don't have many contract disputes.

Asomugha is the best cover corner. Woodson had a very good year.

Can't really argue because Aso is ridiculously good but what Revis did this year was brilliant.
Asomugha is argubably the best because QB's simply don't throw at him. He's that good. He was only thrown at 27 times with 13 completions while making 34 tackles (8 for a loss) and 1 INT this year.
While they are great Revis was really good against some of the best recievers with QB's throwing to him. He held Moss to 4 receptions to 24 yards, Andre Johnson to 4 for 35 yards, Colston to 2 for 28, Steve Smith (Carolina)to 1 for 5, Owens to 44 in 2 games and Ochocinco to 0 and got 6 INT's. The Jets as a whole only conceeded 8 passing TD's all year.
It's a toss up and i'd love to have either partnering Woodson. Aso rightfully relies on his reputation and doesn't get thrown at while Revis did extremely well being targetted. I'd imagine he'll go the way of Aso next year with QB's not willing to throw to him.
Woodson was brilliant. He can cover but not as well as those two, because he isn't asked to. He is the playmaker and a far better tackler than those two. You can leave those two on players and let them do nothing but Woodson moves around and looks after them all. He covered Witten for example when we played Dallas. He is the better playmaker and better all around player than those two.

| As a Team President, the creators sent me an email about it personally. Still 2 places left at the minute so you've plenty time get it working, and I can expand the league if need be too.
Vincent Jackson to the Seahawks perhaps?
