*Pedantic mode on* The fact that Chicago is nicknamed the windy city has nothing to do with the weather they get there

| When push comes to shove, Chicago went 9-7 without a QB and with an average defense while Green Bay went 6-10 with an apparently top notch QB and offense. For what its worth if Chicago can pick up one or 2 toys for Cutler id pen them in as serious contenders.
If the Rams had the choice of Cutler or Rodgers i would prefer Cutler. Hes got that nasty streak in him and carried the Broncos last year. But then again i would pretty much take anyone ahead of Bulger.

A little harsh on Bulger - he was a quality QB, and on form was one of the top 5 QB's in the league in my opinion but his confidence has been destroyed over the past 3 or so seasons with no line to speak of. I can't even recall when we last went through a season without a big injury/several injuries on the offensive line. I don't think he'll ever get back to the form of a few years ago but I hope I'm proven wrong.
As far as Rodgers vs Cutler is concerned, at the moment I would take Cutler but he has the more experience than Rodgers, although you could argue that Cutler didn't have the luxury of sitting behind Favre for a couple of seasons. Either way they're both better than Cassell, but that's another argument altogether....the words rude awakening do spring to mind as regards that though

No, but Damon Huard is better than Brett Favre though, as he has more superbowl rings

| Quote ="ST_CONROY"Well as Rodgers has only started this season it would be pretty difficult to get any meaningful stats for the entirety of his career.
Rodgers was better than Cutler for this season and this is the only season we can base it off.
I really rate Cutler as a QB but i also rate Rodgers highly, that isn't one eyed. It's not like i'm saying Cutler is crap.
I'm sure i can find quotes from people who say Rodgers is a great QB etc.
Of course you are allowed to come and says "Rodgers isn't up there with Cutler" and then completely move the goalposts when i prove your actually wrong. '"
How have you proved that I'm wrong? How have you proved that Rodgers is a better quarterback than Cutler? I asked you how you formed the view that Rodgers was better than Cutler. I was just asking you to beack up your opinion which you palpably failed to do. You gave a small sample of stats from one season in Rodger's favour (ignoring any in Cutler's which would have helped your argument by making you look more reasonable and merasured). The reason you did that is because statistically, Cutler is better than Rodgers. I notice you didn't provide any analysis whatsoever for the stats, namely, their pants defense meant he was always on the back foot and had to throw more and take more risks. That may be because you don't know what you're talking about though to be fair.
As I've already stated lots of people who know a lot more about the NFL than even you (shudder) are clearly of the same opinion as me e.g. Rodgers isn't fit to fasten Cutler's chin strap. If Rodgers was on the trading block I suspect there wouldn't be a great deal of suitors.
Good to hear you admit you said something potentially stupid. I think you should sign off all of your NFL posts like that.

| I don't really take an unbiased view on Cutler, as I have no time for the lad. He has talent, yes, but does he have what it takes to live up to the pressure of being the face of an organisation. I don't think he has.
- In last years self distruct in Denver he blamed everyone else but himself - publicly.
- When the owner took action and got rid of Shanahan he saw his ar*e - publicly.
- When he heard about the Cassell trade he saw his ar*e again - publicly.
- He ignored calls from his coach and more importantly, the owner - the man who's been paying him his millions.
Is this the man you'd want leading your team? I'd pass, thanks. I quite like the Bears, but now will route for them to get battered week in, week out, to see who Jay blames.
As I said in my opening line, I am biased, so shoot me down at will. But I'm with Conroy, give me Aaron Rodgers.

Wonder why all Cutler's teammates that are speaking about him publicly are sad that this evil malcontent is leaving. He must have brainwashed them the rotter! Also, weird how the Broncos tried to get him to stay - you would have thought they'd have been well rid. Bizzarre.

| Of course they wanted to keep him Ian, initially. The way he acted meant that they came out and said they were trading him. Hardly trying to make him stay. We have heard surprisngly little from his team mates. There were whispers of Marshall being unhappy with it all - not that it will mater, he'll be looking at a nice ban - but I've not seen any direct quotes on the matter from any Denver players.

And the rumour is that the Raiders could be making a deal for Chad Ochocinco.

Ocho Cinco (which actually is eight five not eighty five) isn't that good anymore anyway.
It would leave the Bengals in a seriously difficult position for WR after losing Housh.

| According to one source, Garcia has signed with the Raiders and is working out at the facility.
Russel will finally get some decent competition to force him to raise his game.

| Looking at our schedule for 2009 i predict....
Home:
Chicago Bears- L
Detroit Lions- W
Minnesota Vikings- W
San Francisco 49ers- W
Seattle Seahawks- W
Dallas Cowboys- W
Baltimore Ravens- L
Cincinnati Bengals- W
Away:
Chicago Bears- W
Detroit Lions- W
Minnesota Vikings- L
Arizona Cardinals- L
St. Louis Rams- W
Tampa Bay Buccaneers- L
Cleveland Browns- W
Pittsburgh Steelers- L
10-6
Hopefully we can make the play-offs with that record.
Draftwise i think we need to go
Round One- Raji (Nose Tackle) if he is available at 9. Or the top 3-4 rush linebacker.
Round Two- Top 3-4 linebacker assuming we get Raji in round 1. Larry English or Clint Sintim at this spot please.
Rounds 3 to 7- Hopefully a RB as i'm not sold on Grant but i doubt they go with that, more likely depth at CB, LB and OT.
