Good to see sense has finally been restored at Anfield. I'd say it's likely that the owners in the US have sent word of their displeasure at the incident and it's been acted upon. Either that, or the network of former players have stepped in and asked them to sort it out. But either way it's good to see them finally stand up and admit he was wrong and that they've not handled it well. Now they've done that hopefully it'll all go away.

Nice to see Dalglish and Suarez admit they were out of order and totally wrong. Either they did it of their own volition or were told to. Either way, it is satisfying and will hopefully put this to bed. Depends really, they were being called the best side ever 12 months ago. As we all know, football can change in 12 months.



Still, I think Barca are currently going through a transitional phase, there's no doubting Barca's first XI is the best side in the world, comfortably by a few million miles, but their 'squad' is made up of many inexperienced youngsters that are currently gaining that experience. If a short term sacrifice means long term success, I'd do that every now and then.

I think not having any strikers in the squad now Villa is injured has hampered their chances. I think Guardiola has written off this season already and is busy aligning his targets. What I don't understand is why they were looking to sell Villa even before he got his injury. Throw an Ibrahimovic or Stracqualursi (icon_wink.gif) into that squad and they would still clean up.



As Roddy mentioned, 10 of their starting 11 is quite incredible, but just lacking a genuine striker.
