Not really. Obviously nobody now can grade how they will eventually play but you can grade how teams picked up talent based on the college production and whether or not they filled team needs. That doesn't require you to see how they play.

Fair point. What Grade you giving the Packers? I was quite happy with the Giants draft, we took value over need early on but still ended up filling most holes. We may still pick up a veteran MLB, any decent ones still out there?

I'm not really that impressed with all of our draft. Overall probably C. I like Bulaga and Starks but the middle rounds i'm undecided on. Usually it is the opposite way around in that Thompson isn't the best in the first round but excels in the middle rounds.
Bulaga OT- Great player for pick 23, fits a need and will protect Rodgers. Grade A+
Neal DT/DE- Don't rate him highly and for a 2nd round pick it is a waste as he'll merely be depth. He's behind Jenkins, Raji, Pickett, Jolly. Grade D.
Burnett S- We need a safety but i'm not that big a Burnett fan. Grade C.
Quarless TE- Supposed to be very talented (Finley-esque in size etc) but TE wasn't a need and he has character issues/commitment issues. He could pan out and be the next Finley for us but right now i have to grade him F.
Newhouse OT/G- Decent player and will be good depth. Maybe means we can rid ourselves of Babre. Grade C
Starks RB- I'm impressed with Starks. He's been injured but is a CB converted to QB converted to RB. I've seen a few videos of him and he looks solid. Will be a good back-up to Grant and will run any Wildcat. Grade A
Wilson DE- Again, just a body and i doubt he'll contribute at all. Grade C

You could say that but until the players drafted prove themselves on the field you can't say a team has filled a need,if the player drafted can't hack it in the big league then the team will still be short in that players position. You can grade a draft based on college production but many a great player in college has become a nobody in the NFL.

Nice to see the Americans still dont fook about when it comes to justice and rightfully so
He was one of my favourite players, not perfect by any means(on or off the field) but I loved to watch him play and I still remember the shock I felt when it happened. I know this type of thing happens what seems all the time nowadays and TBF it wasnt that long ago but I was absolutely gutted when I found out. It was the same when Sean Taylor was killed he was another one of my favourite players and again even though he had off the field issues he was another player I loved to watch play the game he really was destined for greatness IMO and he really seemed to be turning his life around before his death
I suppose its why I get so annoyed now when players ruin their careers/lives with stupid incidents which just seem so unimportant and pointless

| Hello everybody, how does everybody think the Seattle Seahawks will go in the new season?
I have adopted them as my N.F.L team to follow because...
1. They never have won the Super Bowl (so i can't be a glory hunter)
2. They got to one in 2005? and think they got some shocking ref calls and lost.
3.They are the closest team to my old work colleague who emigrated over to British Columbia,Canada.
4.Weather like ours
Not a dedicated follower like some of you lot,but good to take an interest

Very badly.
If they played in any division other than one with the Rams they would be dead last.
49ers have the division in the bag. Cardinals are down but still have a decent shot at the wildcard. Bradford isn't good enough to start so the Rams will still be bottom. The Seahwaks will get to about 5 or 6 wins probably and be 3rd.

| I personally dont think the Seahawks will do too badly, they wont win the division but with some of the additions they have added not to mention Pete Carroll I can see them becoming the best team in the division in the next few years

| Here's another thing I disagree with ST Conroy on .With Alex Smith as QB nothings in the bag, for me the Seahawks will win the division this year.None of the teams will be great so I think a 9-7 season will take the title and the Hawks are capable of getting that with the team they've got.

33-31 record as a head coach in the NFL, so he isn't that great at the NFL level.

I dislike Smith and don't rate him, but he really came on last year and was pretty decent. Either way he is better than the current Hasselbeck. I'd even say he is the best starting QB in that division.
The Seahawks should improve running wise but they have recruited a guy who is coming off a broken leg and a guy who is pretty decent. They don't match Gore and Coffee. Added to the fact they have absolutely nothing at reciever whereas the 49ers have Crabtree and Davis.
The 49ers have far and away the best offence in the division now Warner is gone from the Cards. They have a better defence that the other teams also. The only concer is corners really. They will have to have a bad year to not win the division and even then it will be the Cards before Seattle who will get there.
I predict.
San Francisco- 9-11 wins
Arizona- 7-9 wins
Seattle- 3-5 wins
St. Louis- 1-3 wins

Sometimes coaches find themselves in situations where they just cant do any wrong with the players they have Jim Caldwell would be a good example of this at the moment thats why I dont think 33-31 is such a bad record with the players/teams he had IMO and if your judging coaches on won/lost records I think that there would be a few head coaches in the nfl that shouldnt be in a job!!!
Bill Belichick had a 36-44 record with the Browns so Im glad people who do the hiring dont go by bad W/L records!!

=#8040FFProbably 2-14 or something, same with the Pats when Brady goes there's more chance of 5-11 unless both teams manage to find another HOFer in the draft.

The Patriots and Colts will not find a Brady or Manning again I think in the draft.

Wasn't really my point. Only that i don't see his appointment as that outstanding given he hasn't been excellent in the NFL. He's brilliant in the college game though.

Colts would still be a play-off team, assuming they have a relatively decent starter. They could do with picking up a youngster pretty early in the next draft or two to have ready behind Manning. I'm not sure how old he is but he must be in his mid 30's?
As for the Patriots without Brady. They will go 16-0. Belicheat will have to take out the digicam when Brady is gone.
The same talk of a demise was suggested when we knew we were getting rid of Favre, and he is/was a better QB than either Brady or Manning. As it is we've not really lost anything at all and already have an QB at elite level two years after him leaving.

| What would the Packers without Rodgers? Ah I know, they'd get to the NFC championship game(well thats what happened last time).
Tebow to be unleashed on the NFL in 2010 I think.
