I'm in the pick em league but i have absolutely no idea what i'm picking.



For example it says Vikes @ Saints. Saints favourites and then 5.0 as the final. So does that mean if i select NO that for me to be correct they have to win by 5 or more and obviously if i select the Vikes if they win or NO win by less than 5 i'm correct.



Is that right?

TBH in the RLFans league my team picks itself. 3 of my bench are suspended so I have no room for manouevre. All my headaches are in the other leagues I'm in where my teams are infinitely better!

Almost, but you're basically right. However, if New Orleans win by exactly 5 then it's called a 'push' and nobody gets awarded a point. I like doing it like this because it adds an element of difficulty, especially with games that are considered as a gimme for certain teams.

Can i get anybodys thoughts on the following possible Madden trade. I'm the Rams and the offer on the table is Jackson and Laurinaitis for Mayo, Edelman, Maroney and the Pats 1st round pick. Laurinaitis and Mayo essentially cancel each other out. Just don't know whether to pull the trigger or not.

Ah, ok. So i select NO they win by 5.1 and I win. I select the Vikes and they lose by 4.9 or win and my pick was right.

Like you say Mayo and Laurinaitis cancel out each other. Maroney is terrible, Edleman is OK so it just depends really how much you want the 1st round pick compared to how highly you rate Jackson. Personally though i'd never trade my best player- in the Rams case- Jackson.

Madden trade? Are you in an online franchise?

Also have you seen Maroney complaining about his stats on the new Madden? Clearly hasn't found the edit button

I've just done mine and the first week is always really difficult as you have it set in your mind that certain teams are better than others based on the previous season and there are always those opening weekend shocks.

Yeah it's an online franchise. I'm not going to win this season so the idea is to try and win in the future. Edelman will turn out to be a good receiver and Mayo is quality. The 1st round pick will give me two in the first and thus I would probably have 3 picks in the first 70. Should be able to get 3 80ish rated players with that. I don't want to lose Jackson but theres no point being strong in one area and weak elsewhere.

Get in! Just won a ding dong franchise game 28-24! Guy I was playing just kept dumping the thing off to Portis to the tune of 13 catches and 140 yards. Cottoned on in the 2nd half and shut him out. Came back from 24-14 down in the 4th to beat him! BTW guys Gilyard is immense on Madden. He has yet to drop a pass this season and has posted 300 yards after 3 games! Get in!

McCoy is only rated at 83 I think for the Bucs and in 1 game I made 4 sacks and 9 tackles with him. Was fairly impressed. When he "matures" as the game goes on he'll be immense.

Seems to be a rookie bug or summat. Bradford is a gunslinger for me. Barely use Jackson. 800 yards and 10 TD's for Bradford so far

On my single player franchise picked up a QB as my first round pick who is rated 80 but has stats almost better suited to a RB.
