Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. If you are having problems logging in, please try a different browser or platform, if problems persist then email support@rlfans.com

Quote ="Cibaman"Its not a particulary new phenomenon at City, been that way since the move from Maine Rd.They used to show the game on the tellies around the concourse so people would watch the last few minutes on the telly in order to get away early. They've switched off the telly but now people just crowd into the backs of the stands. Must admit that if the game's effectively decided I'll head to the back of the stand during injury time, although not when its as tight as on sunday. Watching the final minutes from near the exits can save me about 25 mins getting out of the car ">parks.'"
I do the same trick as you when we are two or three up. I never actually go early but, as you say, getting to that tunnel and hanging about there can save an inordinate amount of time. The ridiculously OTT cordon around the way end already puts 10/15 minutes on the walk back to the car which, by that time, can out an hour on the journey home.
If you go early when it's a tight game, though, what's the point in going to the game at all.

Quote ="Fresh Prince of Chesh-air"I cant remember that many clear cut chances for either team to be ">honest.'"
Kelly shaved the post in the first half with a very easy chance, Carroll did as well in the second after being played in by Suarez, Suarez himself fluffed a one on one with Howard where he tried to hit it with the outside of his right foot.
As you mentioned Everton were truly awful. But it's what happens when you start Victor Anichebe, Seamus Coleman, Denis Stracqualursi, Tony Hibbert etc. Everton went to not concede, there was no intent to score or try to win the game. His bright idea was working hard, running around a lot and holding Liverpool to a 0-0. Liverpool are not a great side and with Carragher playing are very open and their midfield has no balance.
It really winds me up how willing to accept it we were. There was no urgency to get back into the game and bar Baines and Drenthe when he came on, there was no passion to win the game. If you are going with the mentality Moyes chose, you've got to be ultra-committed and pressure the opposition into making mistakes. Instead his negativity just meant Liverpool could commit Enrique and Kelly forward with little fear of us breaking.

Quote ="Lord God Jose Mourinho"Well Pat Nevin thinks that Moyes is the man Chelsea should get. Judging by the Evertonian's on here, I can only think he still loves Everton and is willing to throw us under the bus so we help Everton ">out.'"
Moyes isn't a 'bad' manager. He would make any side solid, I just think he's done as much as he can with Everton. Over his 10 years at the club he's had several seasons where we've shown promise and won games against good teams. But he lacks the ability to push the club on and take it beyond that hard to beat mid table side into one that can challenge for a European place.
I can't see Moyes ever being successful at a top club like Chelsea. Playing one up front with no wingers and nine men behind the ball at home to Bolton wouldn't go down too well at a club like that.

Quote ="Karlos13"I'm not too keen on Holt myself but there was clearly confusion over what the fan actually said. The Oldham player would hardly break down in tears for being called a Manc. How many fans could have actually heard what was being shouted over the famous kop atmosphere? Would imagine it would be quite low on numbers.
On a seperate note, did anything happen to the person who was doing a monkey impression to Evra, or did the people sat around him merely claim he had itchy armpits?
Yeah feel free however remember it was a Liverpool fan who brought this issue back into play on this forum rather than an opposition ">supporter.'"
I don't know what's gone on at the stadium, many people have supported the view that there was a confusion between the word black and manc. It's an easy mistake to make, particularly when you consider accents, and I think there would have been a fair amount of people that heard it. If the Oldham player heard it on the field, you can bet at least 5/10 rows around the man shouting will have heard it.
I haven't read/heard anything about the monkey gesture, I didn't see anybody defending it and I don't recall any witnesses coming out and giving evidence to support the man doing the gesture. Maybe somebody did? I don't know and I don't care to be honest, I don't really care about the fella who wasn't charged for the Oldham incident, but when idiots like Saddened spout drivel for the sake of it, I can't help but have a chomp.
