It was like our season so far, sufficient without being spectacular.
Rooney made some good runs, his touch and finishing was off, which is what you expect when someones been out for a while. Great finish from the penalty though.
Rangers had a couple of chances, but they mainly came about from errors by Evans who was pretty poor. He looks extremely vulnerable without Vidic or Rio at his side.
Scholes and Carrick controlled the midfield, they were given loads of time on the ball and were able to pick out passes at will. Carrick should have scored. Giggs and Fabio on the left hand side both played very well.
The second half was much better than the first, United probably should have had a penalty in the first few minutes when Berbatov was fouled. Still to concede a goal in Europe, still undefeated and through to the next round.

Well, barring the same crap when you did not get 2006, that you only fail cos your current boss is Italian, like the Swede some time before him. The failure to accept that you are International also rans rather than the big country you believe you are. If Beckham never got a red card in 1998 then the World Cup was there for the taking (remember the abuse he got?), and the same with Rooney in 2006. Pesky refs.
Maradona is a cheat (apparently Owen isn't though) and he cost them 1986. Amazing how many World Cups you have been robbed in. 2002 was worse with that complete fluke from Ronaldinho
Then we get scapegoats - Paul Robinson, Robert Green, Scott Carson, all costing the country their divine right.
