Completely agree. Its the first time I've been to an U20's game for a while and it is definitely worth a trip up there.



One penalty against Wigan raised a few questions for me. A Wire forward was held up by two players and a third came in to tackle round the shins. The ref awarded a penalty. I was sat next to a Wire fan who was connected to their team (I think his son was in the squad). He said that his son had been told that there had been guidance issued about 'putting undue pressure on knees' or something like that now being a penalty offence. Anybody heard anything about this? A tactic we have used all season being made illegal?

Seeing as Karl Pryce actually put the ball down on the corner flag maybe it was apt that the ref made him move the ball 2 inches so that it was actually on the touch line

It certainly looked as though he was in touch, although the touch judge was right there and didn't disallow the try. The officiating was really poor today.

Of that team I really rate Rhys and Ben Evans, Gaz O'Brien and Broughton for the future on the games I have seen, I also like Craig Harvey he's on loan at Swinton.

Great game from both sets of lads,,, shame about the loud mouth old trout in the stands though, she's the kind of spectator who gives your fans a bad name... entertaining for the wolves fans though, to sit in the stands and see how worked up the home supporters were, well worth the £10.00...

She's ok really just gets wrapped up in a game of rugby.

I'm sure she will appreciate being called an old trout bet you wouldn't say it to her face though. There was some Warrington fans sat near to us that we just as bad. As Rogues said she's just passionate about Wigan Rugby and after that dire ref performance possibly justified. It's a pity that game was spoilt by him.
