George Williams
Amateur Club: Ince Rose Bridge
DOB: 31/10/04
Position: Scrum Half
George is currently the international Scrum Half at U16's level and a member of our unbeaten U16's Scholarship team. George has been a member of the Warriors junior system for the past four years and has developed into one of the best prospects at the Club. He has great strength and the ability to control a game with his passing and kicking skills
Must be a good un this lad if he's playing for the U16's I nternational side at the age of 6?

While St Pats have produced lots of starlets for Wigan, one problem is that commentators like Ray French have occasionally incorrectly credited them. Andy Farrell was a good example - several times French said he was from the St Pats clubs, when actually he was from Orrell St. James. |

In the highlights towards the back end of the video Tiernay was making some lovely breaks through the middle of the pitch. He looked to have a very good running game, but an unusual running style if anything IMO.
Williams looks a big lad to be playing halfback. Looks more like a centre body shape wise. |

Yes, this is a one off. I think you'll find this time next year you'll see quite a few Pats lads signed. Currently 10 of the Wigan U15's are from Pats.
Last years under 16's was dominated by Ince and Orrell. Pat's had a very poor team which has been reflected in the number of signings. |

I asked this question on the other Wigan site but does anyone know who Cas Tigers' Brad England has signed for ?
He is a powerful/skilful backrower and i noticed he wasn't mentioned in their press release for the new signings from scholarship. He was a real handful in the game v Wigan.

Good to see that four of them got a game for the under 18's this past weekend. Hopefully the injection of these under 16's into the 18's can improve the team's results.
I'm assuming the other under 16's will be slowly drip fed into the 18's as the season continues.
