| Quote Cadoo!="Cadoo!"John Monie is available but I don't think he will come back to Wigan for a third time.'"
Again sorry i don't think he's right at this moment in time.
What i meant by Monie and Lowe was that they were coaches who were far, far ahead of other coaches at that moment in time. Lowe revolutionised the club he forced the players to embrace a professional attitude that we almost unheard of at the time he also set standards higher than at any other club that’s what set us apart and made us the best. We were never happy with a good win we always wanted perfection and that next level. Same for Monie as the guy was a master at defensive patterns and brought new tactics over with him from Aus which again took us to a level above anything in RL.
We need a coach with new ideas who is 'ahead of his time' so to speak just as Monie and Lowe were.
Is Noble ahead of his time? Are we setting the highest standards for our players or are we just happy at getting into the playoffs and going from there? Feka is a perfect example- He’s a quality player who’s never gonna be a 80 min player and we shouldn’t expect anything of the sort from him but cast your mind back to last year when he did lose a little bit of weight after working with Pongia, he was in the form of his life. Is Noble/Forshaw pushing him to continue this?
For me the standards set under Noble aren't good enough.

| I think there just being realistic and can indentify serious problems with the management of the club.
Worst start for 25 years but don't panic.
Lost to a depleted Wakefield side and Castleford at home but don't panic.
I doubt some people would be saying this if there was relegation. We'd all be panicking then!

| Quote Mugwump="Mugwump"The problem is less of coaching than playing personnel (although it's true that the coach must bear responsibility for recruitment - provided he is the sole recruiter).
The Wigan team has no obvious and consistent "spine" through 1, 6, 7, 9 & 13 (almost always the most influential players) and thus no guidance - via it - around the pitch. This puts enormous pressure on the coach to ensure all plays are executed correctly from the touchline.
With a consistent spine (if albeit a modestly talented one) these key players take up the slack and the coach is free to work on those added extras which give the team its 'edge'.
To be frank, I doubt even Wayne Bennett himself could make much headway with this team.'"

| Shaun Wane is favourate for the coaching job should we lose at Quins !!
I personally would like a former player to take over and restore the pride and passion of wearing the "famous cherry & white"
If SW does get the job I wish him well. He has done a fantastic job with the lower grades and he should be given a chance IMO.
If it's not SW who gets the job who else is in contention because its only time before Noble goes?

| Well personally i really like noble, not only as a coach but his personality to the media has always shown him as a respectable man. I hope he could stay at wigan however not as our coach, i believe he has built our team to the border and a new addition at coach would pick our team up nicely. He has always seemed to be a simple coach who lacks any fancy ideas or plays. He also isnt a motivational coach, which i feel we need at the moment. He has taken our team as far as he can (in my opinion) as coach however i hope that IF we do get another coach, he is offered another position, if one is available.
Thanks
BBM

| Could very well be the way forward, as i said i hope he stays on but not as coach, we need a coach that can make on the spot desicions, provides exciting plays ( something we have lacked for a while), but mainly we need passion instilled in our squad, every other team seems to have everybody playing as if they want to be there, even the ozzies are taking pride in their shirts, now i am not saying that all of ours do not but you just cannot see the want.

| Shaun Wane would be a great appointment till the end of the season - he's a wigan lad who knows the younger players , has proved him self at reserve level - and it gives IL 6 months to look for a replacement if he doesnt do well. If he does well give him the job - Could be similar to the run we had under mike greg after raper was sacked.

| Agreed, we shouldnt panick into signing a coach if Noble goes and would like to see hoe Wane goes, he wouldnt hesitate to breed the younger ones through, having him and his new ideas at coach could buy IL enough time to get the right coach. I would love Edwards to be here but looks doubtful. I believe our squad has the potential, just the guidance is needed.
