Who said league games don't matter anymore? Try telling that to the two coaches tonight. Speaking as someone who has lived away from the 'RL heartlands' for forty years, I can't see why not living in 'rugby country' should diminish your enthusiasm, either.

They dont really matter any more though do they (see our coaches attitude towards the Widnes game and to a certain extent Hudersfield), as long as we are in the playoffs, thats all that matters and yes I realise you get in the playoffs by winning league games, but the only games I think about the week before are Wigan v Stains games, not even thought about tonights game all week.



Just over the last few years RL has become increasingly boring, and I never thought I would say that, been going home and away since 1987.

I've been at sea for 18 of the last 24 months and my only time in the UK was just to see the internationals - but I still get just as excited when the game is around the corner - All week I read these forums and check on the BBC for updates regarding players and stuff the coaches say etc.. If I can catch a game on the iPlayer or Wish FM it makes a massive difference for me personally. I just can't see how rugby league has become boring - what's boring is constantly putting up with journos from ESPN saying how good Rugby Union is and how 'brave' American Football players are!

massive hangover and have just caught up on the posts. I honestly thought that you were the better side last night and still can't believe we won.

shaun wayne has added another attacking dimension and if you combine that with mgguires defence then it could be frightening for opposing teams.

I thought you won the battle down the middle and the pivot players - finch and tompkins and lealui where dangerous all the time. It's early doors

and I think you can take a hell of a lot from that game and I still can't believe we won it. I'm fairly sure that it was the most intense game so far.

I would still have criticised our tactics against a poor Warrington team IMO.

so if warrington are a poor team what does that make wigan , imo thats just a bit of sour grapes
