Been very sloppy but i like that we are trying things off the cuff. Like the look of Dupree already. Plenty of grunt about him, loves a collision.

I see Asiata tried to put Dupree out of the game with a trademark low-leg tackle, though Channel 4 made no comment about it.

The game pretty much sums up the frustration of those of us who have a pop when we fall below the expected standards. Was a tough first 20, we dug in and defended exceptionally and took our chances well then Leigh just fell apart. It’s still not right with French at 6 but looks like we are stuck with it. If the forwards do a job on other teams it won’t matter as much though. I thought Peet’s comments were directly at Byrne being soft and just awful effort/technique to get square on and just let them walk through us under the sticks. Byrne’s the only one now who needs to sit out. Well done to Miski, what a day/week for him.

He wasn't playing against Wigan today so why would he? A week after ending the season of 2 possibly 3 Saints players he goes out hunting again looking to deliberately injure someones knees. He is a bit of an animal really isn't he.



I don't think i have ever said this in my life about any player in any sport but i really, really hope Asiata is the victim of a really bad injury from a bad tackle. And i think he will be. He has put a huge target on his back now everybody knows what he has been doing is deliberate and i hope somebody takes him out.

I wouldn’t go as far as that but this tackle has now been made ok in the RFL eyes and is likely to be replicated. As seen by the Bell one last night. Asiata needs to watch what he is doing because one more injury to a player and I think the RFL will have no choice but to ban him

Hey you! Give over, Bell tackled front on and there was no injury. Asiata's actions and resultant serious injuries, on the other hand, speak for themselves. How he avoided a ban is beyond ludicrous. Yer bubble's burst, yer a busted flush and HKR will turn you over.

Wigan excellent defensively today bar one error of judgement from Smithies at the start. No real flow or coherency with the ball in the first half although we were a little unlucky at times with offloads that went to ground. Some real skill in the 2nd half though.



A bit of a mixed bag with French at 6 today - some nice combinations and off the cuff play but at times he still looks like a square peg in a round hole.

an injury should never come into it, otherwise you'd be banning your own players for colliding in a tackle, i'd be more concerned about the medical staff letting walmsley carry on with a grade 2 MCL

Well that was a much better performance, still a little clunky in attack at times but a big improvement (or is it we can only play on dry pitches).



Defense was much better for 98% of the game with a couple of lapses, the start of the second half was like Wigan of old pinning Leigh back intheir own half and putting them under so much pressure.



Still a few too many mistakes to eliminate if we really want to do anythig in the play-offs but much better. Now to find some consistency.



Anyone want to drop Miski after that performace?

What a breath of fresh air. Second half I thought Cust played his best game in ages, distributing quick (well quicker than earlier this season) ball behind a pack that was going forward. All the forwards except one were gaining ground it seemed.

Very pleased for Miski who has been patient while cementing his place in the team. Not the fastest winger we’ve ever had but pretty useful all the same.

Still stuff to work on but Mr Peet must be much happier than last week.

No but I want KPP at prop where he is far more effective.
