Adam Fogerty was saying that they had tried unsuccessfully to get hold of footage of his dad when he played for wigan and halifax. IL suggested the bbc archives as his dad had played in a game which had been televised on there.



He then also went on to say 'find Bilko on the rugby forums he usually has everything you need to know and has lots of information' or something along those lines

Well I had no idea Terry Fogerty was his dad, but he played in four televised BBC Floodlit Cup games for Wigan in 1968 including scoring our only try in the 9-7 Semi Final win over Leigh. Can't really help with that as the footage is old but I could help with any newspaper stuff. The Wigan Library card has its uses!

Terry Fogarty was a decent ball playing second row forward. He lacked pace but his ball handling skills were very good. The only problem was that we weren't the best of teams at the time he played and he tended to get frustrated with how his team mates didn't read his plays. Consequently he sometimes lost possession due to there being no-one on his shoulder to take advantage of his half breaks.

Adam Fogarty on the other hand was just a bit of a thug.

That could be said for Danny Sculthorpe, Gareth Hock and Craig Smith too

Forget Finch, sign Bilko up IL. Criminal not for the club to be making use of him.

Fog senior played the majority of his career for Halifax and also played at international level, so he may have more luck elsewhere.
