| I saw my team beaten by an in-form Warrington. The result would have been more emphatic but for the injury to Sandow and our lads positive response in the second half. I'm very proud of our lads effort but we were second best on the night.

| It wasn't 100, so you can take a moral victory out of that too.

| I am a little disappointed that Mr Pacific has not started a thread about today's game at Wakefield. I think it is highly likely Wigan will make the GF again his year and good chance to win it. However, after today's debacle of wane playing Wigan b and hoping to sneak a win and getting his backside handed to him, I wonder if wane or perhaps more pertinently Lenaghan would have the decency to apologise to the loyal Wigan fans who paid their hard earned to travel and watch today's game. Lenaghan often speaks well about expanding the game and getting more coverage etc, etc. however I don't see how this fits with letting the most high profile club in the game treat a league game as one to sacrifice to save players for later in the season. Appreciate injuries but Wigan have biggest and best squad in comp. Wonder if rfl will dare charge him with bringing game into disrepute?

Quote Mark LaurieShaun Wane said he was disappointed but realistic after Wigan’s defeat to Wakefield.
The Warriors took to the field without ten first team players and after an illness had forced training to be cancelled this week.
Wakefield took full advantage as they ran in 11 tries to record their best Super League win over the Warriors, 62-0.
Speaking after the game, the Warriors Head Coach said: “I’m really disappointed with the scoreline. I am a realist though, I know what’s gone on. With everything combined (players injured and ill), I’m not stressed with the result. It really isn’t the same as Catalans or Castleford last year when we had teams good enough to win those games.
“We made it hard work for ourselves. When you’re in the situation we are with injuries and illness you can’t turn the ball over early and we did that today and they were very good in attack, they’ve got some good players and were very clinical.”
On debutants Joe Bretherton and Jack Wells, the fourth and fifth Academy players to be promoted to first team duties in the last five weeks, Wane said: “I’m glad I gave the debuts out. I thought Joe Bretherton came off the bench and put himself about, I liked what he did and Jack Wells showed a couple of nice touches.
“I don’t want to take anything away from Wakefield though, they were very good and we were quite poor in the way we went about our business.”
Wane took the time to thank the Wigan fans who made the trip over.
“I’m really glad and thankful that the Wigan fans stayed behind to clap the players, I think they understand the situation we’re in.
“We’ve ten starting players not playing. If you do that to any Super League club and then they’re under a lot of pressure. We’ve had a major illness go through the Club this week and it has killed us. I had players out there who really shouldn’t have played but I just didn’t have anyone else to call upon.
“We’ll bounce back from this, the fans will get behind us and we’ll look to get a good result next week against Cas.”
Wane confirmed that John Bateman and Sean O’Loughlin could return for Friday’s game with Castleford. Dom Crosby could also make his first appearance of the season.'"
