Anybody else think the annual trip to Florida is starting to sound more like a working holiday? The 1st time i had no problem with it as it is a change and it allows the players to experience new environments together and i believe the club stressed as much. I hope next year they change it and research something new to try and give the team an edge and that we haven't got complacent.



But from the coverage you can see and read of this years preseason it comes across that there isn't much intensity about this years preseason, the academy lads seemed to have had a tougher time of it.

I was lucky enough to spend the day with the squad at their training complex in Florida last year and i can tell you that it is tough, because of the weather in the uk they struggle to get the long quality sessions in. Even over here the players have a lot of down time to rest and recover and over in Florida its no different except the fact that we as fans probably see more of the r & r time due to social media. There is no way Shaun Wane & Mark Bitcon would allow the sessions to be anything less than beneficial.



from memory Salford went to South Africa last year and if you went on facebook/twitter/instagram it looked like they were on safari everyday watching elephants ans lions etc.

We did seem mentally weak last year especially against teams we should have beaten and army training may have helped with the mental toughness. Like i said i had no problems with the team travelling to warm weather climates and enjoying in there down time as it will help players bonding but 3 season on the trot the club have gone to the same place, systems, gym and are doing the same bonding exercises. I agree about Salford and they played like the had a holiday under noble just like when he was here, thats why Marwan was upset with the reports he had heard from senior players.
