I don't. IMO we lost mainly because Pat, Lockers & McIlorum were too knackered after the Friday game, and shouldn't have played - and the medical staff should have known that.

McIlorum certainly shouldn't have played. He's been out on his feet for a good few weeks now. He could really do with a break. Problem is Saints up next, so he'll want Micky Mac to play. My concern is that McIorum could do more harm than good. He's offering very little in attack, and it's only a matter of time before the fatigue he's suffering begins to effect his defense as well.

All this for me boils down to Madge not rotating the squad when possible to keep everyone fresh. He instead picks his best side each week, which IMO is the wrong thing to do in a 30+ game season.

We have not been able to field three really good experienced props for several seasons which is what I think you need. Fielden was doing twice the work he should have had to do from 2007 on and needed a back up. Feka didn't give it and while Coley shone later on that was just those two.

I have not pinned [iany[/i hopes on him - if he ends up taking up from where he left off that's a bonus (and you won't be very happy...) but I am really looking forward to a front row/bench of Lima, Fielden, Coley and Prescott. Mossop has been excellent but a rest won't do him any harm. He's on a 5 year deal and Coley retires next season anyway.

If he played Micky Mac and TL as the hookers and in that position only then Micky Mac would not be knackered. That would require Sam at 6 and someone else at 1.

So the debate about Sam at 6 or 1 isn't IMO about him alone and his best position but the best team we can play and I think we need to move to this formation now or Micky Mac will be out of it completely in a few more games.

I'd like to see MM pace himself a bit more actually. His natural game seems to be playing at a million miles per hour, tackling everything that moves, but understandably he can't keep that up game after game. That'll come with experience, I reckon.
