Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. If you are having problems logging in, please try a different browser or platform, if problems persist then email support@rlfans.com
Ive never been a big fan of the minutes applause, a silence has been for years the appropriate way to remember someone who gave so much to the sport. Applause is just accepting defeat to the mindless s who go out to disrespect another team's deceased hero. Terry was a Wigan favourite and should be remembered correctly. A big photo of him on the screen and a well observed silence. I hate Sean Long with passion but would never boo him just because he was loved by Saints.
This is Rugby League, not football and we remeber our lost ones properly.
Quotetalulah="talulah"There are still plenty of City fans that use it as a subject of abuse to United fans though
As a fan of MCFC I'm equally embarrassed by them.
Can I ask what other Wigan fans will be doing especially (apart from observing the silence of course)? I've seen some are getting "Newton 9" on their shirts, but that option isn't available to me. I thought fans could wear a black armband too? That's what I intend to do anyway.'"
I'll be wearing a black armband. Plain and simple. Alot of my mates have got T-shirts done but just not my kind of thing.

I will be wearing nothing different. I will observe the silence (with a lump in my throat and glassy eyes, no doubt) and give an almighty "COME ON WIGAN!!" when the man in the middle toots his whistle.
I know we thought we d get the odd idiot spoiling this minute silence, BUT there s rumours going round st.helens that there s going to be more that 1 idiot spoiling this , i ve heard of more than a hand full of ppl now which includes grown men, young lads etc all ages saying that alot are going to BOOO through the minutes silence ,I dont know how true this is but it would make our sport look really bad, And even worse if any of terrys family is there or watching . I just hope this is not true and people RESPECT the minute silence
