Just because you hold a vendetta against Barrett, who's to say the rest of us aren't interested in how he's getting on in Australia?

He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!



He's not a legend because (a) he chose to leave us and (b) his second season was a disappointment.



Other players have had shorter stays but are bona fide legends - Gene Miles springs to mind (a legend certainly to those of us who were privileged to see him and to be entertained by the best centre/wing partnership - with Offiah - that there has ever been in club rugby). TB isn't, unfortunately.



Having said that, I am interested in how he's getting on. Despite that second season I wish him the best in his career. It is hugely embarassing to British RL that the MOS award in TB's first season, in which he was truly outstanding, went to Roby and I can't help thinking he deserves some success to make up for this outrageous snub.

You obviously weren't lucky enough to watch him then! I've only seen one centre who was better than Miles and that was Meninga, and Miles would be a very close second to Meninga, who for my money was the best player, certainly the most complete RL player, of the modern era (though some lunatic Stains fans with no knowledge of their own club's history pre-SL think Lyon and Gidley are better!).

He didn't have Barrett's class but if he were playing today in the Soopah Doopah League he'd be a star prop. He'd certainly be our best prop.
