Just reading that former journeyman Jordan James runs a coffee shop and a barbers. Can he be WIlkin's assistant?

One coffee shop, now with half the staff it used to have. They closed the other shop due to it effectively going bust.

Not convinced that's all the facts! but if you wish to attack Jon Wilkin, go on! I still stand by what I said about Jon and what he offers to the sport,

Which ever way you look at it, RL is in the toilet just waiting to be flushed. If nothing changes (which is what some SL clubs are clearly happy with) then it is only a question of time before someone pulls the handle.



Leaving aside running coffee shops, what type of individual do you think would make a success of the job for the game?

I would say we need someone who has experience high up in sport, like Lewis was and continues to be.



Someone who cant 'talk' to and influence internal and external stakeholders, such as the Govt, Sport England, club chairman, sponsors........



Someone who has a vision and can develop a strategy thats agreed by the sport which is measurable. Thats not a lot to ask but too much for the current incumbents such as Rimmer and co.

Embarrassed? someone maybe! people need to take care with claims they make! with screenshotting these days everything is always in the public arena, I had claims against me on a music company website which were not truthful, and I was successful with libel.

How much longer do some want to drag this out about one person? I accept some may not think he is the right person, but accept their are others who think he can play an important role with his personality & what he's done in the game.



I stand by facts that he did mit just have two businesses, as I remember one of his first projects close to where I live, which is not Manchester! and accept for the Pandemic & lockdown his success in a high prestige building in Manchester City centre I respect! As I respect anyone who has a go in business!



Whatever Super League do, and we all tend to agree something has to be done for the good of the game, those in charge will not be interested what we may think.

No wonder! that not many of us have 20,258 Posts! Tempted to use dismiss! but I am not as petty as that!

Pearson, Hull owner is calling this morning in The Yorkshire Post for Super League to merge once more into being just The RFL,



I am not convinced that is the solution, I just wonder if we have to come to terms that we are simply a small time sport? that truly is going nowhere, except perhaps back to being part time, or just two leagues? Reading this week's League Express does not inspire any real enthusiasm for the future.



Just glad that now I am no longer a one sport person, West Ham, Cricket and even Rugby Union, so many over the years tried to do something with Rugby League, but is it knocking your head against a brick wall.

A merger is probably best for the sport as it needs to be united, just not under Rimmer.

Think he actually said a hybrid merge, whatever that means. The sport should be under one controlling body, some might not like the RFL but having a seperate entity for the "elite" SL does not work for the sport the size it is. In Aus the NRL and regional structure works..

Having SL and RFL not working together, goes back to the bad old days of BARLA, there was a crazy lituation where if chair of BARLA walked into a room chair if RFL would walk out.

The RFL I feel did work before the game went professional in the top tier, if every club in The RFL have an equal vote on all matters , will it not affect the development of the top league?
