My guess is that the club have furloughed the players at this time and will commence training once they decide to end it. Probably in the New Year. I would see that as sensible.

What you say Vic makes sense but i would remind you what Northernbloke has said on a couple of occasions. He says how the club is run is non of our business, just turn up (when we can) watch the game & go home. On that basis we may never know anything, but they do say ignorance is bliss.

Perhaps the club will forget to tell us when the first home game is.

Then, will say how disappointed they are that nobody turn up to support the team.

This is so true. We are the fans not the administrators of the club

However no real sense in starting training till the new year. Super League season 21 start date announced champ and NL 1 dont kbow yet. Pointless starting training and paying wages until a start date is known

SL clubs will be having Dec off, back into training Jan, even on the assumption we somehow got the 12th slot it does not make any real sense to start back training any earlier.

Might as well make full use if the furlough money

The difference NB between the Super League teams and the Broncos. The SL teams have just finished playing as they did have a season.

For London our players will have not played for nearly a year. So they need time to get up to speed for season 2021.

Agreed but its still a balance especially this year in the current financial situation. Soon as you go back into training furlough ends, the club (david) starts paying full wages. Currently london dont know what league they will be playing in. If championship there has been no start date confirmed yet. If its easter as suggested whats the point in starting training now?

For anyone that missed it, pre season training kicking off 4 jan. Sensible time to start in my view

I would think that the players will find it hard, getting back into training, after such a long lay off.

I would hope that proffesional sportsmen would have been doing everything they can to maintain a level of personal fitness.

Contact is the hard aspect

Having spoken with players over the many years that I have followed London. It has been expressed to me, that none of them enjoy the first week of training. And that is when the players are coming off around a months break.

This will be almost a break of a year and whatever they have done as far as a fitness regime, during that time. I am sure Mike Eccles. Will be working them really hard.

Hope so.

Big challenge will be for whichever team gots into SL. Championship not so much as eveeyone in the same boat.

In theory in champ the full time squads should still have the advantage but its a should! That does not always show in games

On another thread it was said to be on the horizon. Should be able to see it from the top of Richmond hill.
