"We've reviewed the video of the last few games. We note that our defence outwide is constantly exposed with overlaps, but no matter how hard I try, I just can't work out how to stop this happening. We're also prone to weak flappy arm tackling in the middle, so as a result often get opened up by basic moves across the park.
We won though against a Sheffield Eagles team, so that gives us some confidence - although we did miss several easy opportunities and often looked static in attack. Boy, we struggled but came through, so I'm happy with that hit out.
We've also won the second half of recent games, it maybe because teams have a 30 or 40 point lead on us by that time, but I prefer to think it is our character showing through.
With Wigan this weekend, I really think that if they rest players and drop the ball regularly we have a good chance. It doesn't matter so much about the score, just our performance.
Wish us luck!"
Pretty much in my opinion what he says (or if he has any brain is thinking).
Here are the points he needs to put in place for this team -
1) ability to run at pace and pass a ball accurately.
2) ability to see space, injured/weak defenders and actually attack it.
3) ability to tackle and stop off-loads.
4) ability to keep our defensive discipline and not give a 3 man overlap an easy walk in on the outside.
5) pray to budda that we can go through 80 minutes without dropping the ball.
