Just trying to improve the image of the game by replacing an huge empty stadium with a 40,000+ full one and improve the quality of the national side by giving them an origin style game, something that many coaches and players from both hemispheres have said we need. Not trying to sideline Quins, I enjoyed the two Magic Weekends that I've been to, just not sure what the quantity aspect of the magic weekend adds to the Super League.

Still think the Magic Weekend could be a season opener

Could be the way to go for the Magic Weekend. The Millenium Stadium was put forward as a venue that would rule out any weather issues and the Super League season starts before the Six Nations. Cardiff has lots of pubs and you will never get cold drinking in a pub.
