| You see I never used him as a scapegoat. I've always been a fan of Grix.
He's played superb, a rest could be a good thing.
I just think squad rotation is important and with the cup coming up a well rested Grix could be key.
Plus as far as 'big league games go' which apparently aren't important, giving Connor a game to test him out isn't the end of the world.
Plus if we are choosing on consistent performing drop Brough... Good idea?

| Personally I would drop brough! He needs to learn he can't behave as he did last week. But I wouldn't rest grix so early in the season when as a team we need to gain some cohesion as a team. although I would play Connor in the centres.

Your wish might come true. Grix and Bailey can fit into a halfback spot.
After last weeks showing and the cup game coming up I think Anderson's team selection could surprise a few.
I really don't care who plays as long as the effort is there. I just don't think Grix having a break could be a bad thing. He's professional to fit right back in.

| I really don't know how much Anderson will change the squad! Can't see that many changes in honesty.
Brough has been off his best all season putting in a 40 20 then kicking out on the full but he is a player who has his heart on his sleeve gets frustrated and it shows! Would I drop him for two of our big games probably not. What I may be tempted to do is have robbo on the bench to interchange with Lunt at hooker and Bailey in the halves.
I wouldn't rest grix either! He is a confidence player and works better the more he plays. Chimes into the line in attack brilliantly always offering an option and following up. And safe as houses under the high ball and positionally spot on.
I would go for
1 grix
2 jerry
3 Leroy
4 Connor
5 broughton
6 brough
7 Bailey
8 chan
9 Lunt
10 ferres
11 koppy
12 kafusi
13 Bruno
Bench
Taai ( to spell second row or loose)
Eorl (interchange with props)
Josh (interchange with props)
Robbo ( interchange at hooker and cover halves if baily brough combo not working)

I fail to see why there is a sudden urge to put Bailey in the halves - I have so far not seen much creativity from him and playing him there would definitely slow things down with distribution and also the 'zip' we get from robbo.
As for dropping Brough would be crazy!!! - yes he seemed very petulant last week and he has been off his game so far this season, but if we dropped him, Warrington and St Helens would be delighted!
Who exactly are we going to play at stand off in his place, who would be as good as him for these two big games?
Answer - we don't have anyone!!!!

You have not seen much creativity from Bailey because are props are achieving so little he spends most of his time running the ball in and playing like a crash bang wallop forward.
Our props need to pull their fingers out and do the work so the creative players can show what they have got.

spot on!
its all very well people saying our creative players aren't creating, but the forwards need to lay the platform for them.

I agree that the props in particular are not performing - so what I don't get is why people seem to think that dropping Brough and re-jigging the halves and hooker and LF will significantly improve matters! It won't!!!!
We need to get back the same aggression in the forwards we showed last year in the Challenge cup against Leeds and hopefully we can do the same to St Helens

| we have not seen the best of bailey yet because he has been played out of position due to injuries to other players, he played where anderson wanted him too against wigan..seemed to fit in perfect that night!
drop brough? ok he is not having a great start to the season but wont be happening... do think he needs to get some more goal kicking practice mind!
would love to see connor given a chance either at full back or centre..when are we going to throw the young lads in otherwise...early season and we know he can step up. i dont think he will play, ferres likely to go centre like he did last season at widnes.
anderson has not got his best team yet on the pitch but im sure he will do come the end of season after all these warm up games
just hope we perform tomorrow as the club are putting in a big effort with the heritage day...normally we have a stinker when the club pushes something and gets a good crowd

| Why make more than one change? For me We have a Centre injured so we put a player in at centre rather than swap a second row to centre then have someone else in at second row. That's how to blood youngsters, strength in depth isn't gained by swapping players around- think that mistake has already been made this season already- and it shows.

| I think Baloo should start sending a message out to the senior players by putting the youngsters in and basically saying " if you don't start performing then these kids will get a chance".
I don't mean all at once of course i mean every week put a couple in and see how they go and how the seniors respond. Would love to see Jake Connor, Kruise Leeming, Josh Johnson et al given more game time, the players aren't performing at the moment so why not give them the stage to perform.

| That's a strong line up. Interesting idea with Bailey into halves, shifting Robinson to 9 to spell Lunt. Maybe too disruptive to structures and make up of the pivots during game?
Swapping wood and Robinson position wise would also be an option.
But could understand PA reverting to brough/Robinson and Lunt/wood combos.
Either way, I think if we can hit our straps we have enough to beat wire. Regarding centres, I'd definitely go with Connor. We need ferres in the pack.

| Robbo is happy to play either 7 or 9 he's said he enjoys playing both positions- but he doesn't like playing both in a game as he feels he has to concentrate too much on what position he's playing when he's swapped. Before the start of the season he said to me he hates friendlies because there's so much swapping and changing he doesn't know where he's playing.

| Everybody ready for what I think it's the biggest game of the season so far?
A win today will bring a huge confidence boost to our season.
The team that ended our cup run and our season will be ready for battle.
I hope whatever team is out there can out play them today and give us all a win we've been wanting for what seems like a lifetime.

| Utterly spineless.
As bad as the ref was you cannot simply give up. Where is the leadership?
Some ok individual performances (Grix broughton Lawrence Mcgillivary)
Some absolute shockers (Kopczak chan)
Until we start to control the ruck we have no chance of beating a team like warrington

We were absolutely awful. We have a prop who runs 4 yards and stops before the defence even hits him. We have a half back who thinks an acceptable kicking option is to kick it dead 35 metres from the Warrington line. Another half back who seemed hell bent on crippling our pack with the worst array of hospital passes you will see.
Most of all though we have a team that doesn't seem to want to do the hard work. We seem to want to score 70-80 metre tries. Rather than get to the end of our sets and put pressure on the opposition in their half. The frustrating thing was Warrington weren't great. Their last tackle options were really poor but we simply put them under no pressure whatsoever. Then they started pushing their noses through the line and we gave penalties away but you can't play for 40 minutes without the ball and not get punished. Once they realised that instead of kicking to Joel Monaghan on the last tackle all the time all they had to do was run straight at our defence and someone would obligingly miss a tackle they had a field day. When I say Warrington weren't great credit to Matty Russell and Ben Westwood who had storming games.
You're right the ref had no affect on that game whatsoever. Too many of our players seem to be a bit in love with themselves at the moment.
