I honestly find it hard to blame Stone. A few people saying he hasn't brought anything to the club. But until they can do the basics, what can he actually implement? They are super league players, if they can't catch and pass then I don't see what Rick can do to have a positive influence on this team.



For me, the main issue is Brough. Every single game he comes up with massive negative plays. How many times does he do the stupid kicks off the outside of his boot, or those cross field hook kicks. One minute were attacking, then he gives away a 7 tackle set and the other team go up the field and score. Add his poor discipline and bad passing decisions to that. And now his average goal kicking.

For me the forwards are doing their job, the young kids are doing as much as they can. So, for me the blame lies with Brough completely.

We all just going to ignore the kick that set up our first try (and the brains to play it out quickly on a free play), and his role in 2 of our other 3 tries?? His attitude is off, but wouldn't most have that issue playing in such an inept, poorly structured team with the talent he has?? He's not the player he was, and his goal kicking is poor this year, but to suggest the 'blame lies with him completely' is way off. Plus, realistically, what options do we have?! Gaskell is ok in the halves, Brierley won't step within 5 metres of a line due to fear of taking a shot and just slows play down by paddling the ball on. And both of their defence is woeful, 10 mins without brough every game would be preferable to defending with the equivalent of 11!
