Well, in my case it's not hindsight. I did say, at the time he took over, that one man control was always going to end like this. (just as it did with Arthur, bless him)

One man in charge for me is not a problem the problem is if that one man gambles everything without a plan b,if the club had built proper foundations on the back of the quality reserves we had at the time who knows were that would have took us when we had injuries and loss of form,would we now be established in superleague and would more and more youngsters be playing for LEIGH and would we not be throwing money away on poor overseas players..who knows but I'm sure we would be in a better position than we are now

Gunners , how long and how much money to produce 1 SL quality player , given us being at best 3 rd choice for any youngster in Lancashire ?



And the odds of retaining them ?

I wouldnt put my savings on it

Who knows now but we could have produced 10 or 1 we'll never know but has Wigan not signed 2 one from barrow and one that was at swinton

It tells us that Leigh will never compete with big clubs - We should be realistic and accept this as trying to compete will only end up in the situation we find ourselves now



We should give good players the likes of Rowley, Baldwin ,Higham Donlan etc etc a chance to play for their until they move on to further their career and hope that we make some kind o f money on them

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't we, meaning the club get offered to join the Super League Academy comp ? & is it correct again that the opportunity was turned down because it was felt by someone/few/all at the club that it wouldn't be good getting hammered every week or similar ? this is what I seem to recall !



Surely that is not a good reason not to join the SL Clubs Academy comp ? Surely even if you only win a couple of academy games the raising & learning at the level is beneficial ?



I feel this was a short sighted decision & the club chose to pursue the short game over the long ! Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the ride but now I feel a bit like it's having a lot of exciting bump & grind with a hot girl only to find she has run off with your best friend & left you with a life long disease !

I was wrong - it should have been 2015 (containing the number [size=1505[/size)

I was trying to make an excuse for myself - being as the number [size=1506[/size is next to the number [size=1505[/size on the keyboard.



I try my best not to insult any other contributor on this website, but it would seem that there are those who can read something into anything!

The demise was in decline prior to being the playground bully. Some just can't get to grips with being told they are wrong. You are entitled to your own opinion. But so is everyone else.
