Fair dos. I did wonder about Armstrong as well, but DB has posted on facebook that he's not going anywhere, apparently he's ill, hopefully nothing serious.



That said, we now have Tonga, Armstrong, Worthington, Pala and Platt (officially) on the books, as well as Harper who was retained after the reserves was scrapped and players like Maitua and Higson that can cover centre, I'd be very surprised if we don't see at least one player leave

Cant see him just sitting in the stands but can see Tonga and him as starting. Personally not seen much of Worthington but from what I have seen dont think he will have much a future at Leigh especially if you go up. See you may have one to come cant see where its needed personally

he was that bad he almost scored a try every 2 games, cant wait for him to be good... Lot of convincing hes played at the pinnacle of the sport!

Hello Leigh Fans.To see Tonga at his best,but also at his very worst go to the Huddersfield v. Catalan match in the super eights.After this performance he was booted out forever.He was unlucky with injuries ,one of which was a broken jaw. He is a very skilful attacking player,far better than Pomeroy in that department,but his defence is poor.If you can motivate him he will be an excellent acquisition. If?

We aren't doing too bad with Riddy, Higson, Pownall, Hopkins, Higham all Leythers likely to be playing regular 1st team rugby plus Beswick, Spencer, Hock, Hansen from the dark side of the borough. Also lots of other lads like Brierley, Armstrong, Dixon, Emmitt etc all from the surrounding areas like Saint Helens, Westhoughton. Still a good solid core of local lads in our side.

I have been told that Warrington and Saints are looking at Armstrong.

I'm sure will, whether that's once we're in Super League and have the RFL funding and the academy structure to develop our own players which isn't available to us at the moment, or if we don't get to SL, lose our financial backers & have no other players wanting to play for us down in the bottom half of the Championship, we shall see. However if we want to get to SL we need to take the best players we can get (which are great payers at the moment).

Not convinced on that one. Understood whoever we have signed has played for their country, cannot find anything with him that fits, unless I have missed it. Reckon this one will be for Bradford.

If he has a dual passport he could have played for any of the home countries.

For all that no defeats would be impressive, it really doesn't matter anymore in the grand scheme of things. Top 4 is all that counts.

I'm not sure about that, Odsal is a difficult enough place to go in the best of conditions never mind in February. Honestly I think it might be better if we didn't win every game, people talk about how the Challenge Cup run took it out of us but I don't buy that, it was only a couple of games months before the Super 8s started. I think the record breaking winning streak did it, wanting to break records and win every game became the focus of the season not winning promotion. Meant we were perhaps less willing to rotate players as insignificant games became very important to us as we didn't want to break the winning streak.

Will be interesting to see how things are "managed" this season.

No new signing coming in now, Mr Chan has decided to retire. We go with what we've got for next season.

I'm not disapointed in the slightest, really dont see the need to of brought chan in, if we needed another forward we could of kept sarsfield or haggerty, another utility back would if any money left been my preference. Says in le we're still looking. Guess if rowley spots somebody we may go for them, or keave it til later in the season.
