You are right Frank as Powell is a Half-back , but its what ive been told , and a couple of Wigans props wouldnt go amiss , they have some very talented youngsters ,i like young Lewis Tierny , his Dad wasnt bad either .

In other news, we've offered Vinnie Anderson a contract and he is currently mulling it over so we should find out something soon.

I'm not a fan of duel contracts, I hope pr uses them just to cover injuries, I'd hate to think any pie dc's picked in the squad before our lads.

I said earlier this year that Powell would be a good signing for us he is one of the best young English scrum halves around.

Totally agree, regardless of how good powell is we simply don't need him.

Totally different type of player, Kes is a running type of back Sam is a scheming scrum half who is a future GB international.

But as we have now signed a scrum half Powell may not be one of the duals, I'm not for signing any pivot players on D/C but if it were for a season long interupted period I'd haver him in a shot.

I can't understand why we have signed another half back really when we have cover there already Im assuming Bob beswick will replace Duffs at 7 and Ryan will cover there and at FB, although, I think Ryan more then deserves his chance at a regular first team slot!!!!!!!

Quite easy its called having options if we lose any half backs with injury then why scratch about for one? its a long season is 2013 and the more hands on deck the better, the duals can now be 'grunts' and 'runners' the more the merrier we have suffered with lack of bodies for the last three seasons, I trust our head coaches judgement.

Beswick could start at 7 again to then bring on Kes later & Bob goes to 13 with Coyle & Nicholson to fight it out as a rotational hooker with Penky. With a bigger league next season against poorer opposition the likes of Bob & Penky could both be rested & we'd still be able to field a good attacking team. It would of been great to have that kind of cover last season so Coyle may not be a world beater but he can be just the type of cover we need.

Im perpared to give Thomas Coyle a chance , the more players in our squad the better , thats what let us down at the back end of last season , hopefully the Club feel the same way and dont want to see it happen again . im sure whoever wears the Leigh shirts next year they will get our support and backing .
