Quote FredParky="FredParky"As we have the potential to double if not treble the attendance figures of any opther Ch 1 club, have a thriving lottery, contributions from LISA and the Corporate club, then on this income alone we stand to generate double (at least) the average income of any other Championship 1 club. Therfore we would not be in any danger of bankrupcy, therfore how is it unfair to stop any club wishing to go forward on a financial footing with so much income? after all isnt that why the salary cap was introduced?'"
If that was the only reason wouldn't W1gan have bought the SL title by now, with Whelan still owning the club

I thought salary cap was supposed to even out the competition. I am all for us being given special treatment as long as we can afford etc, and compared to rest of C1 clubs we seem to be head and shoulders above them. Hopefully RFL will see this also and keep us up with clubs more of our standing as such. As someone pointed out on another thread, aprt from Doosbry the 2nd club going up will be very weak compared to us. We would expect to be challenging top 3 in Championship had we stayed up or keep us up, the C1 runner up won't be
