One of the best halfbacks in this division is Duffs.

If Barrow can afford Briers then it just shows what a farce the salary cap is.

I`d have Duffy back in a shot......great player at this level.

Duffy is better than Watson but is not as good as everyone makes out.Mossop would be a good igning better than haggerty and rourke

But he wouldn't be a signing, he could be pulled back at a moments notice, Rourke is our player and I for one hope Haggs is soon another.

Have to agree about hoping we sign Haggerty....the lad has been superb since he come on loan and I hope we can sign him perm or keep him on loan for the remainder of the season.

what planet are you on spaceman,we need experienced players in our pack ,to many young uns at the moment ,FAX pack will eat us ,if we want young uns get good uns ,McCillorum ,was ready to come ,and we wouldnt go for him ,so was Varkulis before the season started,Kelly didnt want em .

I prefer Watson to Duffy.



And I can't understand all this we need additional experience, we already have plenty, we have in the main a young squad that is developing quite nicely, I've no doubt they'll get 'eaten' somewhere along the lines, but we're here for 3 yrs, not 3 months.

I'm sure these young lads are gaining experience by the bucketload, just by playing at this level, and they're grinding out wins too. So what if they get one or two beatings along the way, they'll learn from that too. Same way they probably learnt alot from grinding out wins against Sheffield and Whitehaven. Same way they probably learnt alot by going down to 11 men and losing at Fev.



12 months down the line, possibly with a couple of shrewd signings, this squad will be far better off, IMO.

This season is a bonding and learning season IMO........ next season is when teams better watch out for us.
