Only went there a couple of times as i lived in St Helens so watched them mainly but enjoyed it totally. Excellent fans though

In that case, is it being demolished by the council as a matter of public safety as I don't know who else would pay for the demolition, unless a decision is imminent on the planning permission?

Surprised the council didn't leave them to it for a few months - would have save em a few bob. Could have knocked it off our Council Tax

Maybe they have come to an alternative arrangement rather than Wi*an MBC having to fork out for demolishing it!

But 'alternative arrangements' still need to be paid for Plonk; forgive me for being a cynic, but maybe the planning application might go through a little more smoothly if the housing developers foot the bill for early demolition?

In a couple of months time you'll walk out of Asda and think there's something missing. A new view will replace HP with an historical local landmark gone forever.

We will only be left with the memories!

But if you live on the new estate being built, you wont have to walk as far to the shops

I think Asda will have gone bust or moved to new premises by the time these bloody houses get built

Maybe the "GEORGE" department of Asda will have moved over the road?
