if moi moi signs it defies belief for me! why sign 35 year old players than are no better than what we have?

Hes 41 in Decemeber and would walk into any Championship side



MoiMoi would set a precident in any RL match. Age isnt a concern with impact props, just ask Jamie Peacock !

Moi Moi has hardly set the NRL alight this last couple of seasons!!!! defo not a signing i would be happy with. shows a lack of foresight for me and would see season tickets drop rather than rise in my opinion.

If he's been playing there then that says an aweful lot about him - irrespective of age he would be a fantastic addition to a generally youngish squad

So signing a world renowned prop who has graced the game for 14 years at Parramatta and played 14 times in the best league in the world last year wouldn't cut it in the 2nd tier of English RL and drive people away from Leigh!

Squad cover? Other than that there would be no point.



But there's only no point if you're correct that this given 35 year old is not better than what we have. I'll trust our coaching staff to figure that out - Rowls and Del Boy Beaumont seem to have done a good job identifying and securing talent for the club so far.

I don't see enough NRL to comment on Moi Moi but at 35 years old I think he'd command fairly big money and possibly not play an awful lot so I'm not sure about him (just my opinion).



As for Morley, he was over the hill in his last year at Wire for me so he's way over the top now. Been an absolutely awesome player but we've got experience in that area with Aspinwall.



Personally think we need another wing or centre, half back and either a 2nd row or loose forward.

i am only stating my opinion which again seems to frowned upon on this forum, I dont think this sort of signing, if it does turn out to be him is a good signing, i would rather them sign younger players. i never said he couldnt cut it in our league. i just dont think he is a person who will bring in extra season tickets as i can only see him as an impact player off the bench at best. he is no superstar signing in my opinion.

Stating your opinion is not frowned upon. But if anyone doesn't agree with your opinion then expect them to say so. That's how it works.

Even if we only get a season out of the said fella, my personal view is that he is the type of player that could contribute to making a good pack into a superb one.

Opinions are like certain holes in ones anatomy everybody has one, it's just that some smell worse than others.



As for the words 'squad cover' aren't all signings just that, no guaranteed first team shirts.

I would love to see either Fui Fui or Adrian Morley in a Leyth jersey.



OK we'll only get a season out of them and they may not play a lot of games, but iconic names and crowd pullers they certainly are.

With respect to the betting, I seem to recall that only one of our 4 signings was going to be an overseas player, which, if true, would rule out FFMM.

That was when we where signing 4 Scubes; Worthington , Reynolds, Beaumont and the 'big one'. Obviously we have added a 5th, Johnson since those grand final days

Unless of course problems with work permits and visas raise their ugly head.
