We should start hearing the start of the signings very soon Im told.

I think that will be the re-signing of existing players which is fine as they were good enough last season.



We still need a coach in place who can bring in his own players to finish the squad off.

Glad to know it will be the existing players first, hopefully most will want to stay

Good because I would think the new guy would want his own choice of playing staff on board.

Maybe the coach has been appointed but not annouced as yet

anything like that wouldn't surprise me, with Trevor being away this week news does seem to have dried up on that front

Lynda , ive been told this morning ,Thursday , that the Players havent been paid yet , what is Happening?Unless the RFL , has sent the money by Wells Fargo?

Umm, do they all have to agree and sign before paymnet is made maybe?

The first team squad (not all the reserves I'm informed by one of the reserve team players) should have had their 'agreements' on Monday, had them signed and been paid Tuesday, but at least one player has not agreed, so I don't know if they all had to sign to agree? BUT it's not only the players it is all staff that it affects.

Im not sure Lynda , all i know is that they havent been paid yet , i thought they would be by Tuesday.

Reading the statement from keith Freer it says talks between the rfl and hmrc will take place.

Maybe the money will only be released when these talks are complete.

Maybe so, that's why the signed agreement, though I was hoping it was paid by Tuesday.

lets hope its all resolved very soon, then we can move on.

And surely we can't sign players until this is sorted out? well we could but it would be a bit unethical surely?

the players will have offers for next season dependant on the outcome of this I suppose.

Patience is a virtue

There's one new face who will be seen in the Leigh colours next season. So it's a start.

Ryan Brierly Cas half back has tweeted that should be spending some time with you next year so loan / DR there.



Cracking youngster by all accounts, had been rumoured with a move to us but seems Cas have tied him down with you guys a game time option.

Loan deal would be better for us rather than D/R. Too critical a position Scrum Half to have them recalled on a whim.



Brierly is a good un by the way and local too.
