Let me remind you, you played Leigh & fielded your new NRL stars in a "strong" Salford squad & got annihilated on your own park.
Had it not been for the 'Army' of travelling Leigh fans in the 'Lean To' End, the place would have been empty.
A stadium half way between $#1THOUSE Estate & Barton Airfield & no real fan base, you will be lucky to bring 7 or 800 to the LSV.
Those Salford fans who do travel will be made very welcome by us Centurions.
Prepare for a Cacophony of noise like you have never heard ">before.'"
what does your away stand hold? Because as of today we've already sold over half of its capacity.

I agree with your thoughts on how this game should pan out, but don't expect Leigh to fade. The vast majority of their points have come in the second half of games when (admittedly part-time Championship teams - with the exception of Bradford and London) have faded.

Have too agree with Manc sh**house!! Done of our fans are going very overboard and a little too confident we are coming across as very arrogant!! As it is I think we will by 8! But people saying we will smash them just makes us look daft!! It will be a class day class atmosphere and a very good game either way!!! Think a lot of people underestimate Salford man for man they compete with any sl team!!

I actually think it might be Leigh that will be withstanding the early Salford barrage (similar to the Bradford match).
But as long as we get to grips with the match sooner than we did in the Bradford match then we'll see a great game.

I'm assuming that's aimed at me so thanks for the compliment!  icon_lol.gif" alt="icon_lol.gif" title="Laughing" /> I'm actually a Salfordian but had to change my username thanks to a rather zealous Wiggin mod that banned me a couple of years back for questioning his "authoritan" icon_smile.gif" alt="icon_smile.gif" title="Smile" />! As it stands, I'm just hoping we get through the Leeds match this weekend unscathed. I'm expecting to lose that one as it may be one game too far for us after 2 gruelling matches against Hudds and Wiggin. If we pick up any more injuries/suspensions we could be down to the bare bones for the match at the LSV which would be a shame. Both teams at full strength would give us a fair indication of exactly where we both stand in our development and gives neither chance to use injuries/suspensions as excuses for defeat.
At the minute we'll be missing the following......
Chase - suspended
Hauraki - suspended
J Griffin - injured (broken foot)
Paterson - injured (knee)
A Walne - injured (?)
J Walne- injured (?)
Lee - injured (?)
Not sure how many of the injured players we can expect back but we should have cover in the backs. Lose any more of our pack and we could be looking at drafting in 1 or 2 of the u19's for a bench spot. |
