Thats true if you were talking about an existing championship player moving to Leigh but that does not really apply to Sykes does it ?

I reckon that he has probably been paid the same money from Fev as he was offered full time, so won't have the daily travelling and will only have to train 2/3 times a week, and at his age maybe its not the be all and end all to get back into SL.

Also it gives him an option to work if he needed/wanted or set up a little business..as his career is now coming to an end and.

If he was younger and ambitious and was hell bent on getting back to SL, then based on that criteria he would have probably chosen Leigh and rightly so.

Well my Fev Friend , its not the first time ive been called deluded , in fact many worse things , but I do stand by my Bet , as I think Leigh , London ,Bradford , and Fax will beat you home and away , then there are the likes of Sheff , Dews , Donny , and Batley to contend with , and didn't Worky beat you when you were on the crest of a wave ?Whatever you think about the Fev Squad , these other Clubs have have also recruited decent players , so it will be Game On next year , cant wait .

I msg DB a couple of months ago after reading that Sykes wasnt being retained and would be worth a look at......he said we had spoke to Sykes`s agent but WE decided against it as we had better players offered to us.

WE turned him down not the other way around.......sour grapes to me from Sykes.

I would really love us to have another season like this one but its doubtful , however one things for sure , we seem to doing things the right way and having the same winning team with 3 or 4 extra players to start is something most coaches would wish for....



Bradford have recruited well, so have London

Fev are always there or there abouts have been for quite some years now and will be next season that I've no doubt !

Halifax will be stronger again

What we do know is that it will be very competitive to get into the Top 4 - what we don't know is how competitive that Middle 8 is going to be. Any of that Top 8 though should surely be able to have a crack at 5th place to get that play-off tie.



I do think though that the "Bottom 8" will be a complete disaster. Just imagine if Leigh, don't make the Top 4, you'd be lucky to get a thousand on.
