I think Jonny Pownall knew AJ was back this week because the Sheffield game was the best I've seen him play in ages. Either that or he had just settled back into to first team rugby.

Competition for places is vital to being a succesful club. The fact we have competition like higson/pownall is great. Players know they have to perform or else. Walker wont be debuting as he is playing for reserves away @ fev.

According to the interview with the coach, on LCTV, Higson is on the bench, and Sarsfield is rested. (apparently TG has to have an op. before the end of the season, so they're getting as much as possible out of him, in the meantime, and Haggerty needs the game time, following his suspension.) Looks like they are gearing up for a Sarsfield/Haggerty 2nd row, for the end of the season. The coach also mentioned that all his props are fit - which is typical, after he signed loads of them, following last season's injuries!
