Smacks of desperation to increase the crowds rather than supporting the amateur game. If he wanted to support the local amateur scene he would send down his players tO run some training with the youth teams. Sounds like Easts have been hoodwinked into believing it is for their benefit.
why people moaning about swintons offer? at least they are trying something to improve the crowd as i cant imagine gateshead bringing many. Leigh are also trying with reduced admission prices (not just like the league where you have to buy your ticket two days before)
