Just don't believe the old adage that 'there is no such thing as bad publicity'. Ask the original Northern Rock bank, Ratners They all got free publicity for one reason or another, and none of them did well on the back of it. If we'd not just had the issue with the salary cap, then I'd be 100% behind it. As it is, I'm a little more dubious.
I'd also suggest that forty or fifty people wearing them won't interest the media. If three or four hundred were wearing them, then all well and good.
I'm still struggling with the mental image of the team running out in them, something isn't quite right with that image somehow? Seems to be sending out the wrong image, as if they =#FF0000should be playing in rolled up trousers and a tank top!
From a fans point of view, I like it as a souveneir, but from someone concerned with the clubs professional image.... please lord, no!
