Fez if you refer to the try Thomas scored in the corner late on it was never a forward pass.

I was there and I'm sure it wasn't Mark Thomas.

It was Mark Thomas to Mark Forster in the corner.



Thomas lived on and dined out on that pass for the next 12 months.

I lived on and dined on my clouded memories of that day for nearly 25 years!

I think he binned Briers and Nat Wood (cant remember the third player), very typical of the early to mid 2000's when Bradford were refs favourites and we were often paired with big teams in early rounds, put on TV, and subsequently knocked out. What doesn't hold up with your reasoning is that the BBC choose the game that they want to televise not the RFL.

That was when they brought the rule in for chucking the ba away to slow the game down, we played 50 minutes with 12 men because of it and it barely gets thougt about anymore.

Yeah, I think Jacko scored twice (certainly once) in the Lancs Cup FInal victory over Oldham. The one I remember is him going straight from dummy half down the right wing and scoring in the corner. Think he got MOM.

Still got that game on video. The only reason why I've still got a vhs player is because of Wire games from the 80's and 90's. Jacko did score twice and picked up the MOM but Greg Mackey and Mark Roskell ran the show despite John Cogger attempting to decapitate Roskell on several occassions.

we beat oldham in lancs cup and jacko scored in the corner tunell end..we also beat oldham in cc semi at central park when mark thomas flung out a long pass to fozzie..

no mate defo knowsley rd..we played sts at station road in an end of season play off game final in the 70s

That game at Station Road turned into one of the biggest riots I've ever seen.... Memories of fans turning cars over outside the ground, I also recall that Wire fans managed to tear a train apart, which made a few newspapers too.



(Also, didn't we make that final after losing the semi against HKR, but they got kicked out for fielding an ineligible player??)
