| 48 points is pretty good for a "shower" of a team.
Good job child is an incompetent fool otherwise you would have been nilled by a "shower".
Hope sandow improves or it's going to be another disappointing season next year for you and your marquee.

| Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't marquee players supposed to be proven top draw players? Sandow comes with a mixed reputation and hasn't shown any sort of a world class player it's not as though he's new to the sport and I think we were blessed with Lee Briers on board.... A Alex Murphy purchase too....Maybe he'd be a good director of rugby for us.... No?
Re today's game, when is enough enough? In one season we've hit rock bottom some call it transition as I thought but I really have my doubts more like stinking attitude and who gives a ------
It's obvious there's a backroom issue, teams don't go from hero to zero in one season and if it's the loss of keys players in positions why did we run with average replacements and a club cast off
I'm so frustrated like many others

| Quote Ganson's Optician="Ganson's Optician"Draper said in a recent video interview that all of the clubs had agreed not to name their 'marquee' player. '"
Correct. It was part of the agreement when the Marquee Player ruling was brought in that no clubs would announce it. So unless you're part of the senior management at the club, or are part of the independent PWC auditing committee, its purely guess-work which player it is regardless of opinion or 'someone told me.'

| Just get off sandows back. He's been here for 4 games in a poor team! The boys are already in holiday mode! Poor I know but they are. Let's see what happens next year. Some good signings coming in and Dodds, let's see how they get on.

| Sandow is a class player and you will see that next season.
I rate him very highly. I would have him at the Giants in a shot. not sure who is going to play with him though.

| I don't care how long Sandow has been here.
His honeymoon period is over as it was for Sims and Clark after 4 weeks.
If he plays shat, he's gonna get it as much as the next shat player gets.
Still I'm not going to throw stones at Sandow, it's TS and his pack selection processes pre season and his halfback selection throughout the season that gets my wrath.
If you read this TS pull your fecking finger out!

| So we now know that Sandow is our MP which I find hard to swallow
MPs are surely your best player and I'm afraid 4 games in or one season he doesn't warrant MP status
How the he'll do you think Chris Hill must feel?
By far the best and most consistent player we have
We should be throwing the Bucks at this guy because if we don't the nrl will and there goes another class player
I said in previous forums Chris Sandow is an hit and miss player. Poor excuses like he's playing behind a poor pack is garbage. Briers always performed well whether the pack played shat or not so that excuse doesn't cut it with me
We're creating a real problem at this club in that we've made 3 supposedly class signings aka Simms,Clark and Sandow in which one didn't have a choice one didn't want to come but seeing as they didn't have a renewed contract he did and the last one was out of favour isn't the way to recruit players
Then the club gives one MP status would make a players calms pill very hard to swallow
Let's be honest the club has ------- up big style
Loads of money a great owner but very poor decisions
I hope they prove me wrong but I see discontent at this club for the foreseeable

| Who at the club has stated that Sandow is the MP? It could well be Hilly?
It has been stated that the clubs will not openly expose the MP, only to the Auditing company so as they do not upset the applecart. Someone has to be that player.
Who say's that the highest paid player has to be the best player at the club? You cannot strike a parallel between a prop and a halfback from a skills sense, but you can from commitment. I agree that Hilly is 100% committed, but for Christ's sake Sandow has been here 4 games.
Briers never always played consistently well behind any pack. He did play well from 2009 though, prior to that he was very much hit and miss.
Sims has consistently been one of the best performers this year given the lack of commitment and professionalism shown by others. Clark has struggled a bit but he has shown well in the latter part again in the face of the lack of commitment and professionalism shown by others.
As fans, the status of the MP is not that much of a deal, we should be hoping that the Management team have the right blend across the 25 and leave the financial gubbins to those who are qualified to make on paper a player the clubs MP.

Let's say that Sandow is - giving the poor bloke FOUR GAMES to integrate fully into the most challenging position on the field is ridiculous.
You do know Jamie Lyon hardly set SL on fire in his first four games.

This is like saying someone from the Dutch football league should feel upset because - regardless of his consistency - he isn't being paid the same as a proven performer from the Premiership.

Go back a few years and check the post on this very forum calling for Briers to be kicked as he is a waste of time and too inconsistent.
Hill has had a big contract increase at the beginning of the season to make him one of our best paid players and as someone says may well be our MP. The MP tag is only there to allow teams to offset one players wage from the cap.
As for Sandow, our back row and centres have stopped running lines due to the fact that no one would pass to them now we have someone who can they all have to learn how to do it again. Give the bloke a chance!

He can also play centre, IF Monaghan is going, first priority would have to be an out and out centre.

| Paterson seems to be a pretty forceful & direct player but didn't he leave Hull KR in the lurch a couple of years ago & go home mid season. Besides get him in the team alongside Sims & Westwood & the club would need a bigger sin bin.

He did, however pretty much most overseas players seem to leave kr reasonably quickly, aside from newton and galea, i think.

| Couple of completely unbiased comments 're marquee signing and Sandow. I have always thought that Aussies in particular need at least a full season before you see the best of them, doesn't always apply of course but for anybody to judge him on 4 games is ridiculous. From what I've seen of him I can see there is some real class there it's whether he can be consistent. Certainly looks to have a good kicking game as well, and can see a few 40-20 for you guys next year. As for the MP, is that not essentially an accounting thing? You could have 2/3 players on the same money it's just one will be accounted differently. No player should be given that "title" for his sake and the sake o f team solidarity. I may be wrong but that's s how I see it.

Erm.. Why do you have to wait a year for them to play well? Do you think a young English player would get the same consideration?
They should start well, play well and finish well.

| I'm not saying you should have to wait a year or that it applies to them all, there are many who hit the ground running. I'm just saying that over the years I have had the impression that a lot of the Aussies seem to take a while before you see the BEST of them. I just think to judge Sandow now is a bit early. He may turn out to be a dud, but give him time before judging. I'm sure he will be better next season, and the games he has now will be beneficial in him settling. I'm not saying I'm right,it's just my observation and opinion.
