| Back onto Billy the Greek, why are we getting on the case of someone who was probably brought in as a squad player on a reasonably low contract? My issue is with some of our big earning 'internationals' who are criminally not even putting 100% effort in which is unacceptable.

Exactly - Billy is not the reason we are 10th in the league.

How do we know he’s on a reasonably low contract? We don’t do we. What we do know is (a) he’s a quota space and (b) he’s bang average. Poor recruitment? Again? No way.

The way he’s “defended” this year I’m not sure a move to the middle of the field would be a good thing.

Because good loose forwards are strong, fast, skilful players with good ball handling skills, Exactly what Currie is.
You can't judge his defensive in a team that is poop this year as everyone is missing tackles not just Currie. He's usually sollid in defense with great attack, and at loose he would have more freedom to roam and dip in and out of attacking plays.
I might be wrong but until he actually played there we won't know. I just think he has the attributes to be a great 13

Currie moving to loose forward, would also allow Powell to play Holmes left side second row.

My thoughts as well Boss, he's always played on the left and has been a good consistant second rower so him being on the right MIGHT be affecting his game?

| With Magoulias he might be retained as if we have signed Dufty, Vaughn and McGuire, Plus Mikaele, Kasiano and Mata'utia, that would leave 1 overseas spot........which i hope will be taken by Tanginoa though.....a man can dream

| currie would be wasted in the middle, plus his lack of wanting to tackle(going back to last year) would be against him.
If you put him and westerman (current thing closest to an old school 13) side by side, there's no comparison (except lazyness at the moment)

Put a Warrington Westerman against a present Currie with a mask during a game, I’d struggle to identify which is which.

Plenty of disrespect……but Woolston Rovers could “outbid by some margin” Wakefield Trinity. Like seriously.

Maybe Trinity would accept Magoulias in a player exchange deal for Tanginoa then, since Wakefield wanted to sign Magoulias initially?
Don`t think Wire would want much for Magoulias, so Wakefield would get a player, plus a transfer fee.

Neither currie or Holmes currently warrant a place in the side. Its hard to say which one has been worse this season. I'd go currie by a whisker.

| Certainly I dont think Currie appears to be playing anywhere near the standard he is capable of.
How much of that is him and how much the team set up I'm not sure.
He doesnt seem to be able to break the line and some of his defensive plays have been poor.
It's a strange one.
OK most of the team aren't playing well individually or collectively (but some of the younger guys have shown up well - Ashton, Thewlis, Wrench).
As I said, strange.

Sorry Moe, but you're doing Currie a disservice. He actually played well against Salford.
Holmes, on the other hand.
FFS.
I'd rather we had his Northern Irish brother, Eamonn.
Hed certainly add some much needed weight to our pack.

Wakefield have moved on from that. And his form isn't advertising him well
To be fair, we'd have probably given him more freedom to play his game. You seem to just play him as a middle.
As for the game today, I felt you were half a great team.
You'd cut us up with ease and then the last pass went straight into touch. Bit panicky at times when it just wasn't needed. I don't think it will take a lot to change it but I'm not sure Powell is the guy.

Yes, you were. As you freely admitted you were being disrespectful to Wakefield so it must hurt when your Club with all it's financial clout simply can't buy a win over them right now.
It's all the CEO's fault isn't it?
Serious question, what happens when Moran gets fed up of spending so much for little or no return?

We can't buy a win over anyone right now.
He's been doing it for years now. We also have Middleton who is also not short of a few bob too. They may have oodles of cash but our board is dysfunctional in achieving RL success but it's their train set.
